Abstract

An infant activity center includes a tray, a base and substantially-straight pylons. The tray has an infant-receiving opening. Each pylon has a lower portion which is directly or indirectly rotatably attached to the base and each pylon has an upper portion which is directly or indirectly rotatably attached to the tray enabling the tray and the base to be relatively rotated and folded from a use position to a storage position. Each of the pylons is substantially vertical when the tray and the base are in the use position.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 17 . (canceled)

18 . An infant activity center comprising:
 a) an infant-activity-center tray including toys mounted thereon having an infant-receiving opening therein including an infant seat attached therein which is rotatable allowing the seat to be rotated relative to the tray; b) a base having a curved lower surface; c) at least three substantially-rectilinear pylons each of which comprises a lower connecting portion directly rotatably attached to the base about a substantially-vertical lower axis and a corresponding upper member which is slidably received in the lower member and adapted for attachment to the bottom of said tray; the rotatable attachment of the lower connecting portion to the base allowing for the collapsing of the tray from a use position onto the base in a storage position such that the distance between the tray and the base is greater in the use position than in the storage position, and wherein each of the pylons is substantially vertical when the tray and the base are in the use position.

19 . The infant activity center of claim 18 further including a spring to allow bouncing of the tray relative to the base by an infant seated therein.

20 . The infant activity center of claim 18 wherein the pylons, the tray and the base all are made of plastic.

21 . The infant activity center of claim 18 wherein the infant receiving opening is disposed over a solid portion of the base.

22 . The infant activity center of claim 18 further comprising latches and recesses engageable with one another to prevent rotation of said pylons.
