Abstract

A universal air nozzle adapter includes a casing including a first air hole connectable to a US type air nozzle, a second air hole connectable to a UK type air nozzle, and air inlet for communication with the first and second air holes; a switching valve mounted in the casing for controlling the air inlet to connect the first air hole or the second air hole, and at least one air nozzle connector detachably mounted on the casing and each having an end connected with one of the first and second air holes and the other end connected with one of different types of air nozzles.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A universal air nozzle adapter comprising
a casing having a head and a body extended from said head, said head having a first coupling hole for receiving a US type air nozzle and a second coupling hole for receiving a UK type air nozzle, said body having an air inlet therein; a block member mounted inside said head of said casing having a first air hole and a second air hole, said first and second air holes communicating with said air inlet of said body of said casing and said first and second coupling holes of said head, a packing member mounted therein between said first air hole and said first coupling hole for holding the US type air nozzle tight in said first coupling hole, and a gasket mounted between said second coupling hole and said second air hole; a clamping member mounted to said body of said casing and having a clamping tip corresponding to said second coupling hole; and a spring member provided between said clamping member and said casing for generating resilience keeping said clamping tip of said clamping member contacting against said casing.

2 . The universal air nozzle adapter as defined in claim 1 , wherein said block member further comprises a switching valve therein for switching either connection between said air inlet and said first air hole or connection between said air inlet and said second air hole.

3 . The universal air nozzle adapter as defined in claim 2 , wherein said block member comprises a valve chamber, a first air passage connected between said valve chamber and said first air hole, a second air passage connected between said valve chamber and said second air hole, a guide hole connected between said first and second air passages and said air inlet, and a valve ball movably mounted in said valve chamber for blocking one of said first and second air passages.

4 . The universal air nozzle adapter as defined in claim 1 , wherein said block member is movable inside said head of said casing; said head of said casing block member comprising a locking lever pivotally mounted thereon to be pivotable for pushing said movable block to compress said packing member to further deform said packing member.

5 . The universal air nozzle adapter as defined in claim 4 , wherein said locking lever comprises a mounting slot and an air nozzle connector detachably mounted in said mounting slot.

6 . The universal air nozzle adapter as defined in claim 5 , wherein said air nozzle connector is a French type air nozzle connector.

7 . The universal air nozzle adapter as defined in claim 1 , wherein said casing further comprises at least one air nozzle connector detachably mounted on said casing, said at least one air nozzle connector each having an end connectable to said first coupling hole and the other end connectable to another different air nozzle.

8 . The universal air nozzle adapter as defined in claim 1 , wherein said casing further comprises two mounting slots respectively formed in two opposite lateral sides of said body thereof, and two air nozzle connectors respectively detachably mounted in said mounting slots.

9 . The universal air nozzle adapter as defined in claim 8 , wherein said two air nozzle connectors are respectively a needle type air nozzle connector and a cone tip type air nozzle connector.
