Abstract
An electromagnetic array assembly incorporated into an internal combustion engine, the engine including a three-dimensional and substantially cylindrical shaped outer casing within which a plurality of piston driven cylinders are mounted in a desired fashion and which are reciprocated in a desired fashion to drive an output crankshaft. The array assembly includes a plurality of magnetic components arranged about outwardly facing surfaces of the cylinders. An encircling electromagnetic ring array is positioned around the magnetic components and, upon reciprocal traversing of the cylinders, an electrical current being generated from the magnetic ring array.

An electromagnetic array assembly incorporated into an internal combustion engine, the engine including a three-dimensional and substantially cylindrical shaped outer casing within which a plurality of piston driven cylinders are mounted in a desired fashion and which are reciprocated in a desired fashion to drive an output crankshaft, said assembly comprising:
a plurality of magnetic components arranged about outwardly facing surfaces of the cylinders; an encircling electromagnetic ring array positioned around said magnetic components; and upon reciprocal traversing of the cylinders, an electrical current being generated from said magnetic ring array.
2 . The assembly as described in claim 1 , the engine further including a rotary engine exhibiting a plurality of cylinders mounted in circumferentially traversable fashion within the casing.
3 . The assembly as described in claim 2 , the engine further including at least one selected cylinder incorporating an extending male piston, at least one further selected cylinder incorporating a recess within which the male piston seats at selected stages during a rotary combustion cycle associated with the cylinders.
4 . The assembly as described in claim 3 , the engine further including a valve operable with each of the pistons and in order to communicate, to the associated piston, at least one air intake port and exhaust port extending through the casings and during discrete stages of the combustion cycle.
5 . The assembly as described in claim 4 , the engine further including a plurality of ratchet plates attached to the pistons and traversable therewith, the ratchet plates engaging and actuating in rotary fashion a central crankshaft.
6 . The assembly as described in claim 5 , the engine further including an oil feed line associated with a central location of the engine, the oil being disbursed through centrifugal force throughout the pistons and associated contact surfaces and recollecting in gravity fashion within a lowermost disposed oil pan.
7 . The assembly as described in claim 1 , the engine outer casing further including a plurality of heat disbursement fins extending in outward radial fashion therefrom.
8 . The assembly as described in claim 1 , the engine further including a plurality of first, second, third and fourth cylinders, each including a male piston extending in a selected direction and seating within an opposing female location in a next succeeding piston.
9 . The assembly as described in claim 1 , each of the cylinders further including at least one of a spark plug, igniter, and a glow plug mounted therein in a communicating fashion.
10 . The assembly as described in claim 8 , each of the cylinders further including an actuating and exteriorly positioned cylinder reservoir, each of the reservoirs being engageable with a brake ring encircling the cylinders and being engageable with a brake receiver along selected locations and at specified intervals.
11 . The assembly as described in claim 1 , further providing a plurality of radially arrayed and pivotable brakes associated with the crankshaft, the brakes selectively engaging with inwardly facing locations defined along the ratchet plates.
12 . The assembly as described in claim 1 , further comprising an arcuate shaped intake/exhaust manifold selectively associated with the outer casing, at least one air filter being operably connected to the intake manifold.
13 . The assembly as described in claim 1 , further comprising an oil pump/filter assembly supplying the oil feed line.
14 . The assembly as described in claim 8 , at least one of the male features being movable within an associated cylinder.
15 . The assembly as described in claim 12 , an exhaust extending from an exhaust manifold secured to a face of the outer casing opposite the intake manifold.
16 . The assembly as described in claim 15 , further comprising a cooling fan secured to a forward facing side of the outer casing, a plurality of cooling slots being defined through a cover of the casing and facilitating a flow of air through cooling holes in the cylinders and ratchet plates, the cooling air exiting said engine via cooling slots in the casing.
17 . The assembly as described in claim 1 , each of the cylinders further including a brake which actuates into a brake reservoir within an encircling ring around the cylinders along selected locations and at specified intervals.
18 . The assembly as described in claim 1 , further providing a plurality of radially arrayed and pivotal brakes associated with the cylinders, the brakes selectively engaging with inwardly facing locations defined along the crankshaft.
19 . An engine assembly incorporating an electromagnetic electricity generating array, said assembly comprising:
an outer casing including an intake and an exhaust; a plurality of cylinders mounted in circumferentially traversable fashion within the casing, each of the cylinders incorporating an extending male piston at a first end, an opposing and recessed location within a next succeeding cylinder seating said male piston at selected stages during a rotary combustion cycle associated with the cylinders; a valve operable with each of said cylinders and in order to communicate to said associated cylinder, at specified stages of said combustion cycle, intake ports communicating with an air intake manifold secured over said cover and exhaust ports extending through said casings to an exhaust/cooling manifold; a plurality of ratchet plates operably engaged to said cylinders and traversable therewith, said ratchet plates engaging and actuating in rotary fashion a central crankshaft; a plurality of magnetic components arrayed relative to outwardly facing surfaces of said cylinders, an encircling electromagnetic ring array being positioned around said magnetic components and, upon rotational traversing of said cylinders, an electrical current being generated from said magnetic ring array; and an oil feed line associated with said engine assembly, said oil being disbursed through centrifugal force throughout said cylinders and associated contact surfaces and recollecting in gravity fashion within a lowermost disposed oil pan.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
