Abstract
A display device includes a first conductive layer formed on a substrate, an insulating layer formed on a portion of the first conductive layer and having a flat plane and an edge, and a second conductive layer continuously formed on the flat plane of the insulating layer, on the edge of the insulating layer, and on another portion of the first conductive layer. The edge of the insulating layer has a region so that an angle formed between the edge of the insulating layer and the first conductive layer is changed to be small at a side near to the first conductive layer.

a first conductive layer formed on a substrate; an insulating layer formed on a portion of the first conductive layer and having a flat plane and an edge; a second conductive layer continuously formed on the flat plane of the insulating layer, on the edge of the insulating layer, and on another portion of the first conductive layer; wherein the edge of the insulating layer has a region so that an angle formed between the edge of the insulating layer and the first conductive layer is changed to be small at a side near to the first conductive layer.
2 . A display device according to claim 1 , wherein the first conductive layer is made of metal and the second conductive layer is made of transparent conductor.
3 . A display device according to claim 2 , wherein the second conductive layer is ITO.
4 . A display device according to claim 2 , wherein the edge of the insulating layer forms a contact portion which electrically contacts the first conductive layer to a driver circuit.
5 . A display device according to claim 4 , wherein the first conductive layer is a gate signal line.
6 . A display device according to claim 2 , wherein the first conductive layer is a counter signal line.
7 . A display device comprising:
a first conductive layer formed on a substrate; a first insulating layer formed on a portion of the first conductive layer, a second insulating layer formed on the first insulating layer, the second insulating layer having a flat plane, and both the first insulating layer and the second insulating layer having an edge; a second conductive layer continuously formed on the flat plane of the second insulating layer, on the edge of the second insulating layer, on the edge of the first insulating layer, and on another portion of the first conductive layer; wherein a first angle is formed between the edge of the first insulating layer and the first conductive layer, a second angle is formed between the edge of the second insulating layer and the first insulating layer, and the first angle is smaller than the second angle around a region of change from the first insulating layer to the second insulating layer.
8 . A display device according to claim 7 , wherein the first conductive layer is made of metal and the second conductive layer is made of transparent conductor.
9 . A display device according to claim 8 , wherein the second conductive layer is ITO.
10 . A display device according to claim 8 , wherein the edge forms a contact portion which electrically contacts the first conductive layer to a driver circuit.
11 . A display device according to claim 10 , wherein the first conductive layer is a gate signal line.
12 . A display device according to claim 8 , wherein the first conductive layer is a counter signal line.
13 . A display device according to claim 7 , further comprising a third conductive layer formed on the first insulating layer;
wherein the second insulating layer has another edge at a portion located on the third conductive layer; and wherein an angle formed between the edge of the first insulating layer and the first conductive layer is smaller than an angle formed between the another edge of the second insulating layer and the third conductive layer.
14 . A display device according to claim 13 , wherein the third conductive layer and the first conductive layer are electrically connected by the second conductive layer.Cited by (0)
