Abstract

Nucleic acids encoding various monocyte cell proteins from a primate, reagents related thereto, including specific antibodies, and purified proteins are described. Methods of using said reagents and related diagnostic kits are also provided.

         21 . An antibody or antibody fragment which is specifically immunoreactive with a polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2.  
     
     
         22 . The antibody of  claim 21 , where the antibody comprises a polyclonal antibody, monoclonal antibody, or humanized antibody.  
     
     
         23 . The antibody fragment of  claim 21 , where the antibody fragment comprises an Fab fragment, F(ab′) 2  fragment, or Fv fragment.  
     
     
         24 . The antibody of  claim 21 , wherein the antibody is: 
 a) detectably labeled; or    b) attached to a solid support.    
     
     
         25 . The antibody of  claim 21  further comprising an acceptable carrier.  
     
     
         26 . A kit comprising the antibody of  claim 21 , a compartment, and instructions for use.
