Abstract

The present invention discloses an outdoor umbrella structure concurrently having illumination and decoration functions, which comprises a support rod vertically disposed at the center of the umbrella body, an upper tier disposed at the top end of the support rod, an umbrella top rib stretched outward from the upper tier, and an illuminating member having one end pivotally coupled to the umbrella top rib and the other end pivotally coupled to a movable lower tier; wherein a direct current battery is installed at the top of the upper tier and an electric cable extended from the bottom of the battery. Further, the front and rear ends of the illuminating member are pivotally coupled to the umbrella top rib and the lower movable tier respectively, and a light emitting diode is disposed in the illuminating member and emits the reflected light inside the illuminating member, and then focuses and projects the reflected light at the shaded area under the umbrella in order to make the illuminating member to have a pervious function. With a direct current battery, the present invention could be used in any place without much limitation. Since the reflected light in the illuminating member is focused and projected at the shaded area under the umbrella, the present invention can achieve the artistic, safe, convenient and power-saving effects.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An outdoor umbrella structure concurrently having illumination and decoration functions, comprising:
a support rod, erected from the center of an umbrella body; an upper tier, disposed at the top of said support rod; an umbrella top rib, stretched outward from said upper tier; and an illuminating member, having one end pivotally coupled to said umbrella top rib and the other end pivotally coupled to a movable lower tier; wherein a power switch being disposed on said support rod for controlling to turn on and off a light emitting diode inside said illuminating member; said upper tier being comprised of symmetric upper and lower decks, and a battery being installed at the top of said upper deck and an electric wire coupled to the bottom of said battery being electrically coupled to said light emitting diode of said illuminating member; said umbrella top rib being pivotally coupled to said upper tier and spread out in a radiant shape and having a pivotal base at the middle of said umbrella top rib for pivotally coupling an end of said illuminating member; said illuminating member being made of a transparent acrylic material and both ends of said illuminating member pivotally coupled to said pivotal base of said umbrella top rib and said movable lower tier respectively, and said illuminating member having an accommodating hole therein for accommodating said light emitting diode and projecting a reflected light in said illuminating member towards an area under an umbrella to achieve the artistic, safe, convenient and power-saving effects.

2 . The outdoor umbrella structure concurrently having illumination and decoration functions of claim 1 , wherein said upper tier comprises a symmetrically radiant groove disposed at the corresponding ends of said upper and lower decks for receiving said umbrella top rib, and said radiant groove comprises a transversal groove disposed proximate to its external periphery for pivotally coupling said umbrella top rib, and a corresponding pair of screw holes being disposed on said upper and lower decks respectively, and a screw bolt passing said screw holes to couple said upper and lower decks to said upper tier after said upper and lower decks being coupled.

3 . The outdoor umbrella structure concurrently having illumination and decoration functions of claim 2 , wherein said umbrella top rib comprises a latch pole protruded from both sides of said umbrella top rib and having one end proximate to said movable upper tier, and said latch pole is disposed directly across said transversal groove of said upper tier to pivotally couple and hide the front end of said umbrella top rib between said upper and lower decks.

4 . The outdoor umbrella structure concurrently having illumination and decoration functions of claim 1 , wherein said battery is disposed in said upper tier and said electric wire disposed at the bottom of said upper tier is hidden into said upper and lower decks after said upper and lower decks of said upper tier are coupled, and a free end of said electric wire passes into said umbrella top rib.

5 . The outdoor umbrella structure concurrently having illumination and decoration functions of claim 1 , wherein said support rod comprises a manual-driven handle for providing an opening function and a closing function.
