Abstract
A display apparatus comprising: a display panel; a data driver for outputting a gray scale voltage corresponding to display data to said display panel via a data line; a gate driver for outputting a gate-on voltage and a gate-off voltage to said display panel via a scan line; and a power supply circuit for outputting a power supply voltage (DDVDH) for driving of said data driver, a reference voltage (VDH) for said gray scale voltage, said gate-on voltage (VGH), said gate-off voltage (Vgoff), and a common voltage (Vcom) for a common electrode of said display panel, wherein said common voltage includes a common voltage (VcomH) of high level and a common voltage (VcomL) of low level, said gate-off voltage includes a gate-off voltage (VgoffH) of high level and a gate-off voltage (VgoffL) of low level, and said power supply circuit includes: a first circuit for generating said power supply voltage; a second circuit for generating said gate-on voltage; a third circuit for generating said reference voltage; a fourth circuit for receiving said reference voltage and generating said common voltage of high level from said reference voltage; a fifth circuit for receiving said common voltage of high level and generating said common voltage of low level from said common voltage of high level; a sixth circuit for switching between said common voltage of high level and said common voltage of low level to output any one of said common voltages; a seventh circuit for generating said gate-off voltage of low level; an eighth circuit for receiving said gate-off voltage of low level and generating said gate-off voltage of high level from said gate-off voltage of low level; and an ninth circuit for switching between said gate-off voltage of high level and said gate-off voltage of low level to output any one of said gate-off voltages.

2 . A display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said power supply circuit comprises:
a circuit for amplifying said reference voltage output by said third circuit; a circuit for amplifying said common voltage of high level output by said fourth circuit; a circuit for amplifying said common voltage of high level output by said fourth circuit; a circuit for amplifying said common voltage of low level output by said fifth circuit; a circuit for amplifying said gate-off voltage of high level output by said eighth circuit; and a circuit for amplifying said gate-off voltage of low level output by said seventh circuit.
3 . A display apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein said power supply circuit comprises:
an output unit for outputting said reference voltage output by said reference voltage amplifying circuit; an output unit for outputting said common voltage of high level output by said high-level common voltage amplifying circuit to outside of said power supply circuit; an output unit for outputting any one of said common voltages of high level and low level output by said sixth circuit to outside of said power supply circuit; an output unit for said common voltage of low level output by said low-level common voltage amplifying circuit to outside of said power supply circuit; an output unit for outputting said gate-off voltage of high level output by said high-level gate-off voltage amplifying circuit to outside of said power supply circuit; an output unit for outputting any one of said gate-off voltages of high level and low level output by said ninth circuit to outside of said power supply circuit; and an output unit for outputting said gate-off voltage of low level output by said low-level gate-off voltage amplifying circuit to outside of said power supply circuit.
4 . A display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said power supply circuit comprises a circuit for registering values to be set to said power supply circuit under control of an external MPU.
5 . A display apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein said data driver comprises a circuit for receiving the set values for said power supply circuit from said external MPU, and
said data driver outputs the set values for said power supply circuit to said power supply circuit.
6 . A display apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein said data driver outputs the set values for said power supply circuit to said power supply circuit according to an instruction issued by said external MPU.
7 . A display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said data driver outputs an alternative current signal (M) to said power supply circuit, and
said sixth circuit switches between said common voltages of high level and low level according to said alternative current signal.
8 . A display apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein, when a drive voltage in said display panel is a positive polarity, said sixth circuit selects said common voltage of low level.
9 . A display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said data driver outputs an alternative current signal to said power supply circuit, and
said ninth circuit switches between said gate-off voltages of high level and low level according to said alternative current signal.
10 . A display apparatus according to claim 9 , wherein, when a drive voltage in said display panel is a positive polarity, said ninth circuit selects said gate-off voltage of low level.
11 . A display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said power supply circuit outputs said power supply voltage and said reference voltage to said data driver, outputs said gate-on voltage and said gate-off voltage to said gate driver, and also outputs said common voltage to said display panel.
12 . A display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said display panel is a TFT liquid crystal panel.
13 . A display apparatus comprising:
a display panel; a data driver for outputting a gray scale voltage corresponding to display data to said display panel via a data line; a gate driver for outputting a gate-on voltage and a gate-off voltage to said display panel via a scan line; and a power supply circuit for outputting a reference voltage (VDH) for said gray scale voltage, said gate-on voltage (VGH), said gate-off voltage (Vgoff), and a common voltage (Vcom) for a common electrode of said display panel, wherein said common voltage includes a common voltage (VcomH) of high level and a common voltage (VcomL) of low level, and said power supply circuit includes: a first generator for generating said common voltage of high level; a second generator for receiving said common voltage of high level and generating said common voltage of low level from said common voltage of high level; and a switching circuit for switching between said common voltages of high level and low level to output any one of said common voltages.
14 . A display apparatus according to claim 13 , wherein said power supply circuit comprises a third generator for generating said reference voltage, and said first generator receives said reference voltage and generates said common voltage of high level output by said reference voltage.
15 . A display apparatus according to claim 13 , wherein said gate-off voltage includes a gate-off voltage (VgoffH) of high level and a gate-off voltage (VgoffL) of low level, and
said power supply circuit includes: a third generator for generating said gate-off voltage of low level; a fourth generator for receiving said gate-off voltage of low level and generating said gate-off voltage of high level from said gate-off voltage of low level; and a switching circuit for switching between said gate-off voltages of high level and low level to output any one of said gate-off voltages.
16 . A display apparatus according to claim 13 , wherein said power supply circuit includes:
a first amplifier provided between said first generator and said switching circuit; and a second amplifier provided between said second generator and said switching circuit.
17 . A display apparatus according to claim 16 , wherein said power supply circuit includes:
a first output unit for outputting said common voltage of high level output by said first amplifier to outside of said power supply circuit; a second output unit for outputting any one of said common voltages of high level and low level output by said switching circuit to outside of said power supply circuit; and a third output unit for outputting said common voltage of low level output by said second amplifier to outside of said power supply circuit.
18 . A display apparatus according to claim 13 , wherein said power supply circuit comprises a register for registering values to be set to said power supply circuit under control of an external MPU.
19 . A display apparatus according to claim 18 , wherein said data driver comprises an interface for receiving the set values for said power supply circuit from said external MPU, and
said data driver outputs the set values for said power supply circuit to said power supply circuit.
20 . A display apparatus according to claim 19 , wherein said data driver outputs the set values for said power supply circuit to said power supply circuit according to an instruction issued by said external MPU.
21 . A display apparatus according to claim 13 , wherein said display panel is a TFT liquid crystal panel.
22 . A display apparatus comprising:
a display panel; a data driver for outputting a gray scale voltage corresponding to display data to said display panel via a data line; a gate driver for outputting a gate-on voltage and a gate-off voltage to said display panel via a line scan; and a power supply circuit for outputting a reference voltage (VDH) for said gray scale voltage, said gate-on voltage (VGH), said gate-off voltage (Vgoff), and a common voltage (Vcom) for a common electrode of said display panel, wherein said gate-off voltage includes a gate-off voltage (VgoffH) of high level and a gate-off voltage (VgoffL) of low level, and said power supply circuit has: a first generator for generating said gate-off voltage of low level; a second generator for receiving said gate-off voltage of low level and generating said gate-off voltage of high level from said gate-off voltage of low level; and a switching circuit for switching between said gate-off voltages of high level and low level to output any one of said gate-off voltages.
23 . A display apparatus according to claim 22 , wherein said common voltage includes a common voltage (VcomH) of high level and a common voltage (VcomL) of low level, and
said power supply circuit includes: a third generator for generating said common voltage of high level; a fourth generator for receiving said common voltage of high level and generating said common voltage of low level from said common voltage of high level; and a switching circuit for switching between said common voltages of high level and low level to output any one of said common voltages.
24 . A display apparatus according to claim 23 , wherein said power supply circuit comprises a fifth generator for generating said reference voltage, and
said third generator receives said reference voltage and generates said common voltage of high level from said reference voltage.
25 . A display apparatus according to claim 22 , wherein said power supply circuit includes:
a first amplifier provided between said first generator and said switching circuit; and a second amplifier provided said second generator and said switching circuit.
26 . A display apparatus according to claim 25 , wherein said power supply circuit includes:
a first output unit for outputting said gate-off voltage of high level output by said first amplifier to outside of said power supply circuit; a second output unit for outputting any one of said gate-off voltages of high level and low level output by said switching circuit to outside of said power supply circuit; and a third output unit for outputting said gate-off voltage of low level output by said second amplifier to outside of said power supply circuit.
27 . A display apparatus according to claim 22 , wherein said power supply circuit comprises a register for registering values to be set to said power supply circuit from an external MPU.
28 . A display apparatus according to claim 27 , wherein data driver comprises an interface for receiving the set values for said power supply circuit from said external MPU, and
said data driver outputs the set values for said power supply circuit to said power supply circuit.
29 . A display apparatus according to claim 28 , wherein said data driver outputs the set values for said power supply circuit to said power supply circuit according to an instruction issued by said external MPU.
