Abstract
An apparatus for the prevention of polar ice mass depletion has a water extractor, a snowmaker, a water pump and a power source. The water extractor extracts water from a water source that is located beneath a polar ice mass and transports the water to a ground level. The snowmaker effects the conversion of the water into snow so that the snow can be deposited upon a polar ice mass. The water pump pumps water from the ground level to the snowmaker. The power source operates the water extractor, the snowmaker and the water pump. The depletion of a polar ice mass is prevented by extracting water from beneath a polar ice mass, pumping the water to a snowmaker, making snow by using the snowmaker and operating all necessary components through the use of a power source.

a water extractor for extracting water from a water source and transporting said water to a ground level, said water source being located beneath a polar ice mass; a snowmaker for effecting the conversion of the water into snow, wherein said snow is to be deposited upon the surface of a polar ice mass; a water pump for pumping water from the ground level to the snowmaker; and, a power source for operating said water extractor, said snowmaker and said water pump.
2 . The apparatus set forth in claim 1 wherein said snowmaker comprises a transporter and a dispenser.
3 . The apparatus set forth in claim 2 wherein said transporter comprises one hose.
4 . The apparatus set forth in claim 2 wherein said transporter comprises a plurality of hoses.
5 . The apparatus set forth in claim 4 wherein said hoses are interconnected using a coupling mechanism.
6 . The apparatus set forth in claim 2 wherein said dispenser comprises a plurality of nozzles.
7 . The apparatus set forth in claim 1 wherein said snowmaker comprises at least one tower gun.
8 . The apparatus set forth in claim 1 wherein said snowmaker comprises at least one fan-based cannon.
9 . The apparatus set forth in claim 1 wherein said power source comprises at least one wind turbine.
10 . The apparatus set forth in claim 9 wherein said wind turbine comprises a tower and a wind turbine apparatus.
11 . The apparatus set forth in claim 1 wherein said power source comprises solar panels.
12 . The apparatus set forth in claim 1 wherein said power source comprises hydrogen fuel cells.
13 . The apparatus set forth in claim 1 wherein said power source comprises traditional energy sources.
14 . The apparatus set forth in claim 1 wherein said power source comprises an energy storage device.
15 . The apparatus set forth in claim 1 wherein said water extractor comprises well-known water pumping equipment.
16 . The apparatus set forth in claim 1 wherein said water pump comprises a linker and at least one hydrant.
17 . The apparatus set forth in claim 1 wherein said power means comprises power connectors.
18 . The apparatus set forth in claim 1 wherein said snowmaker comprises desalinization capabilities.
19 . The apparatus set forth in claim 1 wherein said snowmaker, said water extractor, said water pump and said power source each comprise automated control mechanisms.
20 . A method for the prevention of polar ice mass depletion which comprises:
extracting water from a water source and transporting said water to a ground level through use of a water extractor, said water source being located beneath a polar ice mass; making snow through the use of a snowmaker, wherein said snow is to be deposited upon a polar ice mass; pumping water from the ground level to the snowmaker through use of a water pump; and, operating each of the water extractor, the snowmaker and the water pump through the use of a power source.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
