Abstract
A water jet assembly for in-ground pools or spas that includes a first chamber with a water inlet and a second chamber with an air inlet and a water outlet. Water and air flow from the respective inlets to the water outlet such that a water-jet effect is achieved.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A combination in-ground spa or pool and water jet, comprising:
an in-ground spa or pool made at least partially from cementitious material; and a water jet assembly that includes a first chamber having a water inlet, a second chamber having an air inlet and a water outlet, and an interface between said first and second chambers through which water flows, wherein the in-ground spa or pool contacts at least a portion of said water jet assembly.
2 . The combination of claim 1 , wherein water flows hoselessly from said water inlet to and out of said water outlet into said in-ground spa or pool.
3 . The combination of claim 1 , wherein said water outlet further includes a water-jet fitting disposed thereon.
4 . The combination of claim 1 , wherein said interface comprises an opening between said first and second chambers, said opening having a diameter of less than one half inch.
5 . The combination of claim 1 , wherein said interface comprises a pipe between said first and second chambers, said pipe having a diameter of less than one half inch.
6 . The combination of claim 1 , wherein said cementitious material comprises gunite.
7 . The combination of claim 1 , wherein said water jet assembly is inset into a wall of said in-ground spa or pool such that at least a portion of said assembly is contacted by said cementitious material.
8 . A method for constructing a water jet assembly for an in-ground spa or pool made with cementitious material, comprising the steps of:
(a) providing a water jet assembly that includes a first chamber having a water inlet, a second chamber having an air inlet and a water outlet, and an interface between said first and second chambers through which water flows; and (b) installing said water jet assembly in said in-ground spa or pool such that the in-ground spa or pool contacts at least a portion of said water jet assembly.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein step (a) further includes the step of providing hoseless water flow from said water inlet to and out of said water outlet into said in-ground spa or pool.
10 . The method of claim 8 , further including the step of providing a water-jet fitting upon said water outlet.
11 . The method of claim 8 , wherein said cementitious material comprises gunite.
12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein step (a) further comprises providing at the interface an opening between said first and second chambers, wherein said opening has a diameter of less than one half inch.
13 . The method of claim 8 , wherein step (a) further comprises providing at the interface a pipe between said first and second chambers, wherein said pipe has a diameter of less than one half inch.
14 . A combination in-ground spa or pool and water jet, comprising:
an in-ground spa or pool made at least partially from cementitious material; a water jet assembly that includes a first chamber having a water inlet, a second chamber having an air inlet and a plurality of water outlets, and an interface between said first and second chambers through which water flows, wherein the in-ground spa or pool contacts at least a portion of said water jet assembly.
15 . The combination of claim 14 , wherein water flows hoselessly from said water inlet to and out of said plurality of water outlets into said in-ground spa or pool.
16 . The combination of claim 14 , wherein said plurality of water outlets further include a water-jet fitting disposed thereon.
17 . The combination of claim 14 , wherein said interface comprises a plurality of openings between said first and second chambers, said openings having a diameter of less than one half inch.
18 . The combination of claim 14 , wherein said interface comprises a plurality of pipes between said first and second chambers, said pipes having a diameter of less than one half inch.
19 . The combination of claim 14 , wherein said water jet assembly is inset into a wall of said in-ground spa or pool such that at least a portion of said assembly is contacted by said cementitious material.
20 . The combination of claim 14 , wherein said first and second chambers are joined along a common panel and said interface is disposed through said common panel.Cited by (0)
