Abstract
The invention provides isolated peptide-methionine sulfoxide reductase nucleic acids and their encoded proteins. The present invention provides methods and compositions relating to altering peptide-methionine sulfoxide reductase levels in plants. The invention further provides recombinant expression cassettes, host cells, transgenic plants, and antibody compositions.

26 . An isolated polynucleotide comprising:
(a) a nucleotide sequence encoding a polypeptide having anthranilate N-hydroxycinnamoyl/benzoyltransferases activity, wherein the amino acid sequence of the polypeptide and the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:52 have at least 80% sequence identity based on the Clustal alignment method with default pairwise alignment parameters of KTUPLE=1, GAP PENALTY=3, WINDOW=5 and DIAGONALS SAVED=5, or (b) the complement of the nucleotide sequence of (a).
27 . The polynucleotide of claim 26 , wherein the amino acid sequence of the polypeptide and the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:52 have at least 85% sequence identity based on the Clustal alignment method with the default pairwise alignment parameters.
28 . The polynucleotide of claim 26 , wherein the amino acid sequence of the polypeptide and the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:52 have at least 90% sequence identity based on the Clustal alignment method with the default pairwise alignment parameters.
29 . The polynucleotide of claim 26 , wherein the amino acid sequence of the polypeptide and the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:52 have at least 95% sequence identity based on the Clustal alignment method with the default pairwise alignment parameters.
30 . The polynucleotide of claim 26 , wherein the nucleotide sequence comprises the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:51.
31 . The polynucleotide of claim 26 , wherein the amino acid sequence of the polypeptide comprises the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:52.
