Abstract

An airbed with an integral sleeve. After deflation of the airbed, the airbed is rolled or folded into a tight formation, and the sleeve is extended around the airbed for storage. The sleeve may be a flat fabric material that is attached to a seam of the airbed, for example by welding. The sleeve includes drawstrings or cords for tying and tightening the sleeve around the airbed. A handle may also be provided for carrying the stored airbed once the sleeve is in place.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An airbed combination, comprising:
a first airbed; a second airbed, the first and second airbeds each having first and second sides, the first and second sides being on opposite sides of the airbed; a first releasable connector positioned and configured to releasably connect the first and second airbeds along the first sides of the two airbeds; and a second releasable connector positioned and configured to releasably connect the first and second airbeds along the second sides of the two airbeds.

2 . The airbed combination of claim 1 , further comprising a sleeve for encasing the two airbeds when the airbeds are deflated.

3 . The airbed combination of claim 2 , wherein the sleeve is attached to at least one of the first and second airbeds.

4 . The airbed combination of claim 3 , wherein the sleeve is connected to the first airbed via a strip of material that is weldable to the first airbed and that includes a structure that anchors the sleeve to the strip.

5 . The airbed combination of claim 4 , wherein the first airbed comprises polyvinylchloride, and the strip comprises polyvinylchloride and woven fabric.

6 . The airbed combination of claim 1 , wherein the first releasable connector comprises a zipper.

7 . The airbed combination of claim 1 , wherein the first connector comprises at least one member of the set of hook and loop fasteners, a zipper, ties, hooks, a loop and a toggle, and a clasp.

8 . The airbed combination of claim 1 , wherein the first connector comprises a snap with a protrusion on the first airbed, and an opening on the second airbed for receiving the protrusion.

9 . An airbed combination, comprising:
a first airbed; a second airbed, the first and second airbeds each having first and second sides, the first and second sides being on opposite sides of the airbed; and a zipper positioned along the first sides of the two airbeds and connecting the first and second airbeds.

10 . The airbed combination of claim 9 , wherein the zipper comprises first and second zipper tapes, and wherein the first zipper tape is connected to a seam of the first airbed, and the second zipper tape is connected to a seam of the second airbed.

11 . The airbed combination of claim 10 , wherein the first zipper tape is connected to the first airbed via a first strip of material that is weldable to the first airbed and that includes a structure that anchors the zipper tape to the first strip.

12 . The airbed combination of claim 11 , wherein the first airbed comprises polyvinylchloride, and the first strip comprises polyvinylchloride and woven fabric.

13 . The airbed combination of claim 12 , wherein the first strip is welded to flashing on the first airbed.

14 . The airbed combination of claim 11 , wherein the first strip is welded to flashing on the first airbed.

15 . The airbed combination of claim 11 , wherein the second zipper tape is connected to the second airbed via a second strip of material that is weldable to the second airbed and that includes a structure that anchors the second zipper tape to the second strip.

16 . The airbed combination of claim 15 , wherein the first and second airbeds comprise polyvinylchloride, and the first and second strips comprise polyvinylchloride and woven fabric.

17 . The airbed combination of claim 16 , wherein the first strip is welded to flashing on the first airbed, and wherein the second strip is welded to flashing on the second airbed.

18 . The airbed combination of claim 15 , wherein the first strip is welded to flashing on the first airbed, and wherein the second strip is welded to flashing on the second airbed.

19 . An airbed combination, comprising:
a first airbed; a second airbed, the first and second airbeds each having first and second sides, the first and second sides being on opposite sides of the airbed; a first connector positioned and configured to connect the first and second airbeds along the first sides of the two airbeds; and a sleeve for encasing the two airbeds when the airbeds are deflated.

20 . The airbed combination of claim 19 , wherein the sleeve is attached to at least one of the first and second airbeds.

21 . The airbed combination of claim 20 , wherein the sleeve is connected to the first airbed via a strip of material that is weldable to the first airbed and that includes a structure that anchors the sleeve to the strip.
