Sports equipment rack

Abstract

An improved sports equipment frame includes frame having a main vertical member including an upper end and a lower end, and a plurality of extensions projecting laterally from the main vertical member; and a bowed hanger extending from the main vertical member for draping an article of clothing, the hanger elevationally located between the upper and lower ends of the vertical member. In a preferred embodiment, the sports equipment rack includes pant leg restrainers for suppressing movement of the legs of pants during spray washing, and a headgear support plate having a generally flat upper surface that is larger than the cross sectional area of the vertical member. The sports equipment rack is lightweight, compact and portable, and is suitable for storing, organizing, washing and drying various types of sporting equipment and clothing.

1 . A sports equipment rack comprising: 
 a frame including a main vertical member having an upper end and a lower end, and a plurality of extensions projecting laterally from the main vertical member; and    a bowed hanger extending from the main vertical member for draping an article of clothing, the hanger elevationally located between the upper and lower ends of the vertical member.    
   
   
       2 . The sports equipment rack of  claim 1 , further comprising pant leg restrainers extending upwardly from lateral members of the frame, the pant leg restrainers elevationally located between the hanger and the lower end of the vertical member, whereby legs of pants suspended from the hanger can be positioned over the restrainers to suppress movement of the pant legs during spray washing.  
   
   
       3 . The sports equipment rack of  claim 1 , further comprising a headgear support plate attached onto and supported solely by the upper end of the vertical member, the headgear support having a generally flat upper surface, the area of the upper surface being larger than the cross sectional area of the vertical member.  
   
   
       4 . The sports equipment rack of  claim 1 , wherein the frame defines conduit for conveying air from an inlet in the frame to apertures defined in the rack.  
   
   
       5 . The sports equipment rack of  claim 4 , further comprising a valve for selectively preventing flow from certain of said apertures and increasing flow to certain other of said apertures.  
   
   
       6 . The sports equipment rack of  claim 1 , wherein the main vertical member comprises a lower section and an upper section, wherein the upper section is telescoped with respect to the lower section to provide height adjustability for the sports equipment rack.  
   
   
       7 . The sports equipment rack of  claim 1 , wherein the hanger includes upwardly extending prongs for suspending pants by belt loops on the pants.  
   
   
       8 . The sports equipment rack of  claim 1 , wherein the hanger further comprises clips for suspending pants.  
   
   
       9 . The sports equipment rack of  claim 1 , further comprising a detachable umbrella holder.  
   
   
       10 . The sports equipment rack of  claim 1 , further comprising a handle to facilitate portability.  
   
   
       11 . The sports equipment rack of  claim 1 , further comprising a foldable base to which the vertical member is removable attachable.  
   
   
       12 . The sports equipment rack of  claim 1 , further comprising a wall mount to which the main vertical member is removably attachable.  
   
   
       13 . The sports equipment rack of  claim 1 , further comprising a detachable stool.  
   
   
       14 . A sports equipment rack comprising, 
 a frame including a main vertical member having an upper end and a lower end, and a plurality of extensions projecting laterally from the main vertical member; wherein the frame defines conduit for conveying air from an inlet in the frame to apertures defined in the rack; and    a valve for selectively preventing flow from certain of said apertures and increasing flow to certain other of said apertures.    
   
   
       15 . A sports equipment rack comprising, 
 a frame including a main vertical member having an upper end and a lower end, and a plurality of extensions projecting laterally from the main vertical member; wherein the main vertical member comprises a lower section and an upper section, wherein the upper section is telescoped with respect to the lower section to provide height adjustability for the sports equipment rack.    
   
   
       16 . A sports equipment rack comprising: 
 a frame including a main vertical member having an upper end and a lower end, and a plurality of extensions projecting laterally from the main vertical member, the frame defining conduit for conveying air from an inlet in the frame to apertures defined in the rack;    a bowed hanger extending from the main vertical member, and for draping an article of clothing, the hanger elevationally located between the upper and lower ends of the vertical member; and    an air blow dryer connected to the inlet in the frame.
