Treadmill for skiing-like exercise
Abstract
A treadmill has a housing covering from above a base, a front supporting rod of the base has a central supporting column connecting a left and a right linkage in a symmetrical way; each linkage has a peddle, its front end connects a linking member, the two linkages are connected at angular positions but being connected pivotally to the two lateral sides of the supporting column; each peddle is connected on its rear end with a buffer which is connected to the front supporting rod to brace up the peddle, and to form impedance force; a left and aright ski stick each is fixedly connected with a peddle, a supporting rack is connected with the supporting column and is mounted thereon a wheel to limit moving of a flexible member of which two ends are respectively connected with the left and the right linking members, in order that the peddles can move up and down in inclined positions. A user can thus allow two hands to control the actions of pushing and pressing with the ski sticks to do treading exercise in a crossed way and in an inclining mode as if the user is skiing; the object of doing plastic art on a waist, a hip and a thigh etc. can thus be attained.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A treadmill for skiing-like exercise comprising:
a base, a housing, a left and a right linkage, a left and a right ski stick and a supporting rack, wherein said base includes a front and a rear supporting rod, said front supporting rod has a central supporting column; said housing covers from above said base; said left and right linkages are arranged symmetrically at two lateral sides of said supporting column; each of said linkages has a peddle, a front end thereof is connected with a linking member, said two linkages are connected at angular positions but being connected pivotally to said two lateral sides of said supporting column; each of said peddles is connected on a rear end thereof with a buffer, a front end of said buffer is connected to said front supporting rod to brace up said peddle, and to form impedance force; said left and right ski sticks each has a fixed rod and holding rod mutually pivotally connected, said two fixed rods are respectively connected with one and the other sides of said left and right peddles; said supporting rack is connected with said supporting column of said base, and is mounted thereon a wheel connecting on its periphery with a flexible member, two ends of said flexible member are respectively connected with said left and right linking members, in order that said left and right peddles move up and down in inclined positions; thereby two hands of a user are allowed to respectively control actions of pushing and pressing with said left and right ski sticks to do treading exercise in a crossed way and in an inclining mode as if said user is skiing.
2 . The treadmill for skiing-like exercise as in claim 1 , wherein said supporting column of said base is provided with a through hole, one end of said supporting rack has a protruding portion for inserting into said through hole of said supporting column for connection.
3 . The treadmill for skiing-like exercise as in claim 1 , wherein said treadmill further comprises an adjustment screw having a screw rod on one end thereof, an inner thread is provided at a front end of said through hole for screw connecting, said screw rod pushes said protruding portion coaxial therewith of said supporting rack, this links up with said supporting rack, said wheel and said flexible member to allow height adjustment of said left and right peddles.
4 . The treadmill for skiing-like exercise as in claim 1 , wherein said front and rear supporting rods of said base has therebetween a connecting rod to form a shape of “H”.
5 . The treadmill for skiing-like exercise as in claim 1 , wherein said supporting column is provided on two lateral sides thereof with bearing pieces respectively inclined downwards, said bearing pieces are connected respectively on their bottoms with two bracing rods that are coaxially connected respectively to said two linking members to allow rotation of said linking members.
6 . The treadmill for skiing-like exercise as in claim 1 , wherein each of said peddles is connected on its bottom with an elongate engaging block; an end of each of said engaging blocks is integrally connected to one of said linking members.
7 . The treadmill for skiing-like exercise as in claim 1 , wherein said linking members on front ends of said peddles are straight rods and are provided with radially protruding sheets respectively connected with two ends of said flexible member.
8 . The treadmill for skiing-like exercise as in claim 1 , wherein said supporting column is provided on its top with a display.
9 . The treadmill for skiing-like exercise as in claim 1 , wherein each of said peddles is provided on the bottom of its rear end with a fixed post to fix an end of one of said buffers and one of said fixed rods of one of said ski sticks.
10 . The treadmill for skiing-like exercise as in claim 1 , wherein said fixed rods of said ski sticks are both in a shape of “L” which each has an end of a transverse section connected to one of said fixed posts of one of said peddle, and which each has an upright section having a universal joint and a reduced pipe; said reduced pipe has a snap engaging member, said holding rod is provided on its bottom with an engaging hole to receive said snap engaging member on said reduced pipe, thereby said fixed rod is adapted to connecting with said holding rod.
11 . The treadmill for skiing-like exercise as in claim 1 , wherein said housing includes a front housing portion and a rear housing portion; said front housing portion has a recess having therein a through hole for extending therethrough of a screw rod of an adjustment screw.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
