Abstract

A control device for an air compressor includes a pressure control device having a pressure release valve adapted to be operably connected to the compressor, a fuel valve connectable to the engine and a three-way valve sandwiched between the pressure release valve and the compressor, a switching device having a pivotal plate to selectively activate fuel supply to the engine from the fuel valve and a cylinder connected to the pivotal plate via a cylinder shaft extendable out of the cylinder to drive the pivotal plate to pivot and an air pressure device to detect air pressure in the air tank so as to activate extension of the cylinder shaft out of the cylinder to deactivate the fuel supply from the fuel valve and air pressure release process via the pressure release valve.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A control device for an air compressor having an engine mounted on top of an air tank and a compressor driven by the engine to pump air into the air tank, wherein the improvements comprise:
a pressure control device to control air pressure release in the air compressor and activation of the engine, the pressure control device having a pressure release valve adapted to be operably connected to the compressor, a fuel valve connectable to the engine and a three-way valve sandwiched between the pressure release valve and the compressor; a switching device having a pivotal plate in connection with the fuel valve to selectively activate fuel supply to the engine from the fuel valve and a cylinder adapted to be operably connected to the air tank and connected to the pivotal plate via a cylinder shaft extendable out of the cylinder to drive the pivotal plate to pivot; and means for detecting air pressure in the air tank so as to activate extension of the cylinder shaft out of the cylinder to deactivate the fuel supply from the fuel valve and air pressure release process via the pressure release valve.

2 . The control device as claimed in claim 1 further comprising a housing securely mounted on the air compressor to accommodate the cylinder, the pivotal plate, the pressure valve and the fuel valve.

3 . The control device as claimed in claim 2 , wherein a knob is securely connected to the driving plate to drive the driving plate to pivot such that the pivotal plate is pivoted due to engagement of the driving plate and the pivotal plate.

4 . The control device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the detecting means is a pressure regulator sandwiched between the air tank and the cylinder.

5 . The control device as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the detecting means is a pressure regulator sandwiched between the air tank and the cylinder.

6 . The control device as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the detecting means is a pressure regulator sandwiched between the air tank and the cylinder.
