Abstract
This invention relates to substantially anhydrous warming, non-toxic and nonirritating lubricating compositions containing polyhydric alcohols and an insulating agent. The invention also relates to methods of using such compositions for lubrication, administration of active ingredients and for preventing or treating dysmenorrhea.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A substantially anhydrous lubricant composition comprising at least one polyhydric alcohol and an insulating agent.
2 - 14 . (canceled)
15 . A method of treating or preventing dysmenorrhea comprising applying a composition comprising from about 80% to about 98% by weight polyhydric alcohol and less than about 20% by weight water intravaginally.
16 - 18 . (canceled)
19 . A method of providing personal lubrication to a human's oral or vaginal mucosa during intercourse comprising applying to the oral or vaginal mucosa a composition comprising a substantially anhydrous lubricant composition which conveys a feeling of warmth upon application comprising at least one polyhydric alcohol.
20 . A method of providing personal lubrication to a human's vaginal mucosa during intercourse comprising applying to the vaginal mucosa a composition comprising a substantially anhydrous lubricant composition which conveys a feeling of warmth upon application comprising at least one polyhydric alcohol.
21 . A method according to claim 19 wherein said polyhydric alcohol is selected from the group consisting of: glycerin, alkylene glycol, polyethylene glycol and a mixture thereof.
22 . A method according to claim 21 wherein said composition comprises from about 80% to about 98% by weight polyhydric alcohol
23 . A method according to claim 28 wherein said composition comprises about 50% by weight propylene glycol and about 45% by weight glycerin.Cited by (0)
