. The method of claim 18 , and further comprising engaging at least one second gear with the at least one gear engagement feature formed on the loading deck.

. The method of claim 18 , wherein said at least one gear engagement feature further comprises at least one slot.

. The method of claim 18 , wherein said at least one gear engagement feature further comprises as least one gear bar.

. The method of claim 18 , wherein said at least one gear engagement feature further comprises at least one beveled gear bar.

. The method of claim 18 , and further comprising engaging at least one gear with a stud comprising at least one gear engagement feature.

. The method of claim 18 , wherein said first at least one gear is beveled.

. The method of claim 18 , wherein said recess is adapted to load a name card.

. A method comprising:
capturing an image of an object; translating said object relative to a contact image sensor; loading said object onto a loading deck comprising a recess and two lateral sides; passing a loading deck over said contact image sensor engaging at least one first gear with the at least one gear engagement feature formed on the loading deck; supporting the loading deck with a support; and driving the first at least one gear.

. The method of claim 26 , wherein said support comprises a wheel.

. The method of claim 26 , wherein said recess is adapted to load a name card.

. The method of claim 26 , and further comprising engaging said at least one gear with at least one gear engagement feature.

. The method of claim 29 , wherein said gear engagement feature comprises at least one slot.

. The method of claim 29 , wherein said gear engagement feature comprises at least one gear bar.

. The method of claim 26 , and further comprising engaging a rail with said support.
