Abstract

A cleaning apparatus for cleaning a surface is disclosed. The cleaning apparatus includes a base portion for movement along the surface and a handle pivotally connected to the base portion. The apparatus further includes a solution tank for supplying a flow of cleaning solution to the surface. The solution tank is removably mounted to one of the handle and the base portion. The apparatus still further includes a recovery tank removably mounted to one of the base portion and the handle and a suction source in fluid communication with the recovery tank. The apparatus yet further includes an accessory assembly including a hose portion in fluid communication with the suction source via the recovery tank and a solution tube in fluid communication with the solution tank. The maximum length of the accessory hose assembly is at least 25% greater than the minimum length of the accessory assembly.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A cleaning apparatus, comprising:
a base portion for movement along the surface; a handle pivotally connected to said base portion; a solution tank for supplying a flow of cleaning solution to the surface, said solution tank removably mounted to one of said handle and said base portion; a recovery tank removably mounted to one of said base portion and said handle; a suction source in fluid communication with said recovery tank; and an accessory assembly including a hose portion in fluid communication with the suction source via the recovery tank and a solution tube in fluid communication with the solution tank, wherein the maximum length of the accessory hose assembly is at least 25% greater than the minimum length of the accessory assembly

2 . The cleaning apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the maximum length of the accessory hose assembly is at least 50% greater than the minimum length of the accessory assembly.

3 . The cleaning apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the maximum length of the accessory hose assembly is at least 100% greater than the minimum length of the accessory assembly.

4 . The cleaning apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the maximum length of the accessory hose assembly is at least 200% greater than the minimum length of the accessory assembly.

5 . The cleaning apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the maximum length of the accessory hose assembly is at least 300% greater than the minimum length of the accessory assembly.

6 . The cleaning apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the maximum length of the accessory hose assembly is at least 400% greater than the minimum length of the accessory assembly.

       7 . A cleaning apparatus, comprising:
a base portion for movement along a surface; a handle pivotally connected to said base portion; a solution tank for supplying a flow of cleaning solution to the surface, said solution tank removably mounted to one of said handle and said base portion; a recovery tank removably mounted to one of said base portion and said handle; a suction source in fluid communication with said recovery tank; an accessory hose in fluid communication with the suction source via the recovery tank; and a solution tube positioned within said hose and in fluid communication with the solution tank.

8 . The cleaning apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the solution tube is coiled within the accessory hose.

9 . The cleaning apparatus of claim 8 , the accessory hose further having helically coiled support member.

10 . The cleaning apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the solution tube is coiled within the accessory hose.

11 . The cleaning apparatus of claim 10 , wherein:
the solution tube is coiled in a first direction and the support member is coiled in the opposite direction.

12 . The cleaning apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the maximum length of the accessory hose is at least 50% greater than the minimum length of the accessory hose.

13 . The cleaning apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the maximum length of the accessory hose is at least 100% greater than the minimum length of the accessory hose.

14 . The cleaning apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the maximum length of the accessory hose is at least 200% greater than the minimum length of the accessory hose.

15 . The cleaning apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the maximum length of the accessory hose is at least 300% greater than the minimum length of the accessory hose.

16 . The cleaning apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the maximum length of the accessory hose is at least 400% greater than the minimum length of the accessory hose.
