Method and device for the removal of water ice from refrigeration units

Abstract

A method and a device for the removal of water ice from refrigeration units for the refrigeration of chilled goods to a temperature below the freezing point of water. The water ice is sucked out of the interior of the refrigeration unit by application of a suction fan and at least one suction nozzle, preferably located below a conveyer belt, to remove the water ice from the belt and the refrigeration unit.

1 . Method for removing water ice from a refrigeration system for cooling refrigerated goods to a temperature below the freezing point of water, comprising the steps of: 
 providing a suction blower and at least one suction connection in the interior of the refrigeration system, and    applying suction to the interior of the refrigeration system to remove water ice through the at least one suction connection.    
   
   
       2 . Method as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein at least three suction connections are used.  
   
   
       3 . Method as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the water ice is removed by suction from a conveyor belt on which the refrigerated goods are conveyed through the refrigeration system.  
   
   
       4 . Method as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the suction connections are moved during the suction process.  
   
   
       5 . Refrigeration system for cooling refrigerated goods to a temperature below the freezing point of water, comprising: 
 a refrigeration unit in which goods are cooled;    at least one suction connection for removing water ice from an interior of the refrigeration unit; and    a suction blower connected to the at least one suction connection for applying suction to the interior of the refrigeration system.    
   
   
       6 . Device as claimed in  claim 5 , wherein at least three connections for water ice removal are provided.  
   
   
       7 . Device as claimed in  claim 5 , wherein the suction connections are mounted in the refrigeration system in such a way that the water ice is removed by suction from a conveyor belt on which the refrigerated goods are conveyed through the refrigeration system.  
   
   
       8 . Device as claimed in  claim 5 , wherein the suction connections are movably mounted in the interior of the refrigeration system.
