Abstract

A stereo speaker system includes a pair of speakers. Each of the speakers includes a frame, a yoke, a diaphragm and a printed circuit board. At least one of the frame, the yoke, the diaphragm and the printed circuit board of one of the speakers is unitarily interconnected to at least corresponding one of the frame, the yoke, the diaphragm and the printed circuit board of the other speaker. This unitary structure reduces the number of required parts and facilitates assembly of the stereo speaker system.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A stereo speaker system comprising a pair of speakers arranged in a juxtaposed relationship and each including a frame, a yoke supported on said frame, a magnet secured on said yoke, a top plate secured on said magnet, a magnetic air gap defined between said top plate and said yoke, a diaphragm disposed in a confronting relation to said top plate, a voice coil attached to said diaphragm and extending into said magnetic air gap, and a printed circuit board electrically connected to said voice coil,
at least one of said frame, said yoke, said diaphragm, and said printed circuit board in one of said pair of speakers being unitarily connected to at corresponding one of said frame, said yoke, said diaphragm, and said printed circuit board in the other speaker.

2 . A stereo speaker system as defined in claim 1 , wherein said frames of said pair of speakers are unitarily connected together by a common link portion, said printed circuit boards being integrally formed together and placed on said common link portion of said frames.

3 . A stereo speaker system as defined in claim 1 , wherein each of said pair of speakers further comprises a protective cover secured to said frame and configured to cover said diaphragm, said protective covers of said pair of speakers being unitarily connected together.

4 . A stereo speaker system as defined in claim 1 , wherein said frame of each of said pair of speakers includes an annular portion surrounding said diaphragm, said annular portions of said frames being unitarily interconnected by a common link portion, said diaphragms being unitarily interconnected by a common link portion, said common link portion of said diaphragms being secured to said common link portion of said frames.

5 . A stereo speaker system as defined in claim 1 , wherein said frame of each of said pair of speakers includes an annular portion surrounding said diaphragm, said annular portions of said frames being unitarily interconnected by a common link portion, said yokes being unitarily interconnected by a common link portion, said yokes each having an outer peripheral edge secured to said annular portions of said frames, and said common link portion of said yokes being secured to said common link portion of said frames.

6 . A stereo speaker system as defined in claim 1 , wherein said frame of each of said pair of speakers includes an annular portion surrounding said diaphragm, said annular portions being unitarily interconnected by a common link portion, further comprising a pair of rings for pressing an outer peripheral edge of said respective diaphragms against said respective annular portions.

7 . A stereo speaker system as defined in claim 6 , wherein said pair of rings are unitarily interconnected by a common link portion, and said common link portion of said pair of rings is secured to said common link portion of said frames.

8 . A stereo speaker system as defined in claim 7 , wherein said diaphragms are unitarily connected by a common link portion, and said common link portion of said diaphragms is sandwiched between said common link portion of said frames and said common link portion of said pair of rings.

9 . A stereo speaker system as defined in claim 1 , wherein said frame of each of said pair of speakers includes an annular portion surrounding said diaphragm, said annular portions being unitarily interconnected by a common link portion, wherein said yokes each have an outer peripheral edge and are unitarily interconnected by a common link portion, said outer peripheral edges of said yokes being secured to said annular portions of said frames, and said common link portion of said yokes being secured to said common link portion of said frames, and wherein said diaphragms are unitarily interconnected by a common link portion, said common link portion of said diaphragms being secured to said common link portion of said frames.

10 . A stereo speaker system as defined in claim 9 , further comprising a pair of rings for pressing said outer peripheral edges of said diaphragms against said annular portions of said frames, said pair of rings being unitarily interconnected by a common link portion, said common link portion of said pair of rings being secured to said common link portion of said frames through said common link portion of said diaphragms.

11 . A stereo speaker system as defined in claim 10 , further comprising a pair of protective covers attached to said respective frames and configured to surround said respective diaphragms, said pair of protective covers being unitarily interconnected by a common link portion, said common link portion of said pair of protective covers being connected to said common link portion of said frames through said common link portion of said diaphragms and said common link portion of said pair of rings.
