Display apparatus, light source device, and illumination unit
Abstract
A display apparatus capable of illuminating a light modulation device with a light from a light emitting body to display an image on a display plane comprises a plurality of light emitting bodies (R, G, B) different from one another in emitted light color, a light receiving device configured to detect the light from the light emitting bodies and to output an amount of light received, and a color balance adjustment control section configured to adjust and control a color balance in the display plane in accordance with the amount of light received by the light receiving device. The color balance adjustment control section is configured to be capable of identifying the emitted light color of the light emitting body relating to the amount of light received.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . (canceled)
2 . A display apparatus which projects an image corresponding to an input image signal, comprising:
light source means for emitting illumination light; a light modulation device for displaying an image based on the image signal; illumination lens for guiding the illumination light emitted from the light source means to illuminate the light modulation device; projection lens for projecting the image illuminated by the illumination lens; and a light receiving device which is arranged in the vicinity of the light modulation device, and detects an amount of the illumination light.
3 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein:
the image signal is a color image signal; the light source means emit illumination light of a plurality of colors; and the light modulation device displays an image based on the color image signal corresponding to a color of the illuminated light; and the apparatus further comprising:
a color balance adjustment means for carrying out, based on an amount of light received by the light receiving device, at least one of a correction of each color data used for displaying an image in the light modulation device and a correction of a light amount of each color emitted by the light source means.
4 . The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein
the light source means emits illumination light of a plurality of colors by successively pulse lighting a plurality of LEDs emitting different colors; and the color balance adjustment means identifies a color of the illumination light received by the light receiving device based on a timing of emission of the plurality of LEDs.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
