Abstract
Disclosed are diagnostic and prognostic kits for the detection and treatment of proliferative diseases such as ovarian cancer, breast cancer, and lymphoma. Also disclosed are cancer therapeutics utilizing IAP antisense nucleic acids IAP fragments, and antibodies which specifically bind IAP polypeptides.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of inducing apoptosis in a cell in a mammal diagnosed as having a proliferative disease, said method comprising administering to said mammal a modified antisense oligonucleotide of length sufficient to inhibit an inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) biological activity, wherein said antisense oligonucleotide is complementary to a portion of human IAP-1 (HIAP-1) (SEQ ID NO:5).
2 . A method of treating a patient diagnosed as having a proliferative disease, said method comprising administering to said patient a modified antisense oligonucleotide of length sufficient to inhibit an inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) biological activity, wherein said antisense oligonucleotide is complementary to a portion of human IAP-1 (HIAP-1) (SEQ ID NO:5).
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said mammal is a human.
4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said proliferative disease is cancer.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein said cancer is ovarian cancer, adenocarcinoma, lymphoma, or pancreatic cancer.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said mammal is a human.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said proliferative disease is cancer.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein said cancer is ovarian cancer, adenocarcinoma, lymphoma, or pancreatic cancer.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
