Abstract

A first storage device control device stores, when a first data write/read request is received, correspondences between first logical units and second logical units referenced when determining whether or not storage regions identified by first logical units set in the request are storage regions of the first logical device control device or storage regions of a second storage device control device, the second storage device control device transmits all or some of identification information (logical unit information) of the second logical units to a management computer, the first storage device control device transmits all or some of the correspondences (mapping information) to the management computer, and the management computer references the received logical unit information and the mapping information to generate information representing whether or not the second logical units are corresponded to the first logical units.

       13 . A control method in a virtualization system coupled to a host computer and a disk array system and having a virtualization device and a management device, said virtualization device having a virtual storage volume corresponding to a logical volume, which is related to a plurality of disk drives in said disk array system, said control method comprising: 
 mapping a first information regarding said logical volume and to a second information regarding said virtual storage volume, said first information including information of a first Logical Unit Number (LUN) regarding said logical volume, said second information including information of a second LUN regarding said virtual storage volume;    transferring said mapped first and second information between said virtualization device and said management device;    receiving a data input/output request, sent from said host computer, and targeted to said virtual storage volume;    changing a LUN, which is included in said data input/output request and corresponds to said second LUN, to said first LUN, which corresponds to said second LUN based on said mapped first and second Information; and    transferring said changed data input/output request to said logical volume so that said disk array system performs inputting/outputting of data corresponding to said data input/output request to/from said disk drives corresponding to said logical volume.    
   
   
       14 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 13 , further comprising: 
 displaying information related to said mapped first and second information on a display of said management device.    
   
   
       15 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 13 , further comprising: 
 storing, on said management device, said first Information based on receiving a command sent from said disk array system.    
   
   
       16 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 13  further comprising: 
 storing, on said management device, said first information based on receiving a command sent from said disk array system; and    storing, on said management device, said mapped first and second information based on receiving a command sent from said virtualization device.    
   
   
       17 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 13 , further comprising: 
 storing, on said management device, said first information based on receiving a command sent from said disk array system;    storing, on said management device, said mapped first and second information based on receiving a command sent from said virtualization device; and    displaying information created by both said first information and said mapped first and second Information on a display of said management device.    
   
   
       18 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 17 , wherein: 
 said management device manages information of a plurality of sources of said virtualization device.    
   
   
       19 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 13 , wherein: 
 said management device manages information of a plurality of sources of said virtualization device.    
   
   
       20 . A control method in a virtualization system coupled to a host computer and a disk array system and having a virtualization device and a management device, said virtualization device having a virtual storage volume corresponding to a logical volume, which is related to a plurality of disk drives in said disk array system, said control method comprising: 
 storing a relationship information related a first information regarding said logical volume to a second information regarding said virtual storage volume, said first information including information of a first Logical Unit Number (LUN) regarding said logical volume, said second information including information of a second LUN regarding said virtual storage volume;    transferring said stored relationship information between said virtualization device and said management device:    receiving a data input request, including a LUN corresponding to said virtual volume and data and sent from said host computer and targeted to said virtual volume;    changing said LUN corresponding to said virtual volume included in said data input request to said first LUN, which corresponds to said second LUN included in said second information; and    transferring said changed data input request to said logical volume so that said disk array system performs inputting of said data corresponding to said data input request to said disk drives related to said logical volume.    
   
   
       21 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 20 , further comprising: 
 displaying information related to said stored relationship information on a display of said management device.    
   
   
       22 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 20 , further comprising: 
 storing, on said management device, said first information based on receiving a command sent from said disk array system.    
   
   
       23 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 20 , further comprising: 
 storing, on said management device, said first information based on receiving a command sent from said disk array system; and    storing, on said management device, said stored relationship information based on receiving a command sent from said virtualization device.    
   
   
       24 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 20 , further comprising: 
 storing, on said management device, said first information based on receiving a command sent from said disk array system;    storing, on said management device, said stored relationship information based on receiving a command sent from said virtualization device; and    displaying information created by both said first information and said stored relationship information on a display of said management device.    
   
   
       25 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 24 , wherein: 
 said management device manages information of a plurality of sources of said virtualization device.

 said management device manages information of a plurality of sources of said virtualization device.

A control method in a virtualization system coupled to a host computer and a disk array system and having a virtualization device and a management control device, said virtualization device having a virtual storage volume corresponding to a logical volume, which is related to a plurality of disk drives in said disk array system, said control method comprising: 
 storing a relationship information related a first Logical Unit Number (LUN) regarding said logical volume to a second second LUN regarding said virtual storage volume;    transferring said stored relationship information between said virtualization device and said management control device;    receiving a data output request sent from said host computer to said virtual volume;    converting a LUN, which is included in said data output request and corresponds to said second LUN, to said first LUN, which corresponds to said second LUN, based on said relationship information;    sending said changed data output request to said disk array system so that said disk array system performs outputting of data corresponding to said data output request from said disk drives corresponding to said logical volume;    receiving a data output response, which includes said data of said data output request, from said disk array system; and    sending said data of said data output request to said host computer.    
   
   
       28 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 27 , further comprising: 
 displaying information related to said stored relationship information on a display of said management control device.    
   
   
       29 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 27 , further comprising: 
 storing, on said management control device, said first LUN based on receiving a command sent from said disk array system.    
   
   
       30 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 27 , further comprising: 
 storing, on said management control device, said first LUN based on receiving a command sent from said disk array system; and    storing, on said management control device, said stored relationship information based on receiving a command sent from said virtualization device.    
   
   
       31 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 27 , further comprising: 
 storing, on said management control device, said first LUN based on receiving a command sent from said disk array system;    storing, on said management control device, said stored relationship information based on receiving a command sent from said virtualization device; and    displaying information created by both said first LUN and said stored relationship information on a display of said management device.    
   
   
       32 . A control method in said virtualization system according to  claim 27 , wherein: 
 said management control device manages information of a plurality of sources of said virtualization device.
