Rolling frame and method for adjusting said rolling frame
Abstract
The present invention pertains to a rolling frame comprising four support columns ( 1 ), which are anchored in a fixed manner to a base plate ( 6 ) and in which are arranged axially fixed, rotatably mounted tractive spindles ( 3 ), whose upper and lower ends are provided with threads running in opposite directions, which receive the upper and lower cross members ( 4, 5 ) and by means of which the sets of rollers can be adjusted in opposite directions in relation to one another, whereby the support columns ( 3 ) [sic, ( 1 )—Tr.Ed.] simultaneously guide the roller mountings ( 2 ) and receive bending blocks, and a short-stroke setting cylinder ( 7 ) arranged between the lower reinforcing roller mounting ( 8 ) and the lower cross member ( 5 ) for exerting a rolling force.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . Rolling frame, comprising four said support columns ( 1 ), which are anchored in a fixed manner to a said base plate ( 6 ) and in which are arranged said axially fixed, rotatably mounted tractive spindles ( 3 ), whose upper and lower ends are provided with threads running in opposite directions, which receive said upper and lower cross members ( 4 , 5 ) and by means of which sets of rollers can be adjusted in opposite directions in relation to one another, whereby the said support columns ( 1 ) simultaneously guide said roller mountings ( 2 ) and receive bending blocks, and a said short-stroke setting cylinder ( 7 ) arranged between the said lower reinforcing roller mounting ( 8 ) and the said lower cross member ( 5 ) for exerting a rolling force, whereby a separation of the transmission of force to the rollers and of the guiding of the said roller mountings ( 2 ) is achieved by means of a separate arrangement of the said tractive spindles ( 3 ) and of the said roller mountings ( 2 ) in the said support columns ( 1 ).
2 . Rolling frame in accordance with claim 1 , characterized in that
it is a two-, four- or six-high rolling frame.
3 . Rolling frame in accordance with claim 1 , characterized in that
an additional setting cylinder is arranged between the upper [sic, “einem” is grammatically incorrect here”—Tr.Ed.] and the said appropriate cross member ( 4 , 5 ).
4 . Rolling frame in accordance with one of the above claims, characterized in that
the threads of the said tractive spindles ( 3 ) are designed as self-locking threads.
5 . Method for adjusting the rolling frame in accordance with claim 1 for rolling operation, characterized in that
first the back-up rollers and working rollers are moved towards one another and in position to the fitting line by means of actuating the said tractive spindles ( 3 ) in the unloaded rolling frame, and in that the roller setting force is then adjusted by means of the said short-stroke setting cylinder ( 7 ).Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
