Abstract

A sequin device which is mounted on a side portion of a head of a sewing machine in order to draw a sequin from a sequin roll and place the sequin on an object to be sewn while performing a cutting operation with respect to the sequin is disclosed. The sequin device can stably feed a sequin from a sequin roll provided on a support plate with a simple structure and simplify the manufacturing process and reduce manufacturing costs thereof.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A sequin device of a sequin sewing device, which is installed at a side portion of a head of a sewing machine in order to release sequins from a sequin roll and perform a cutting operation for the sequins, the sequin device comprising:
a driving motor for providing a driving force used for operating the sequin device; an actuating arm coupled with a driving shaft of the driving motor so as to rotatably move in a counterclockwise direction or a clockwise direction; a transfer lever rotatably installed at a lower end portion of the actuating arm and provided at a front end portion of the transfer lever with a first hook part, which engages with a center hole of the sequin, in order to transfer the sequins in a predetermined pitch unit according to forward or backward action of the transfer lever; and a transfer lever support bar for securely fixing the sequins by downwardly biasing the transfer lever which transfers the sequins in a predetermined pitch unit.

2 . The sequin device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the transfer lever support bar is mounted on a predetermined position of a support block such that the transfer lever support bar is movable in the forward and backward direction, and is provided with a pressing part which biases the transfer lever downwardly.

3 . The sequin device as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the pressing part of the transfer lever support bar securely fixes the sequins by downwardly biasing the hook part of the transfer lever.

4 . The sequin device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the transfer lever has a smoothly-curved protrusion part making contact with a pressing part of the transfer lever support bar.

5 . The sequin device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 4 , wherein the pressing part of the transfer lever support bar is provided at one side thereof with a stopper.

6 . The sequin device as claimed in claim 5 , further comprising a pressing roller capable of performing rolling movement, wherein the pressing roller is provided on the stopper formed at one side of the pressing part of the transfer lever support bar.

7 . The sequin device as claimed in one of claims 1 to 4 , wherein the pressing part of the transfer lever support bar is equipped with a pressing roller capable of performing roller movement.
