Abstract

The indoor unit of an air conditioner includes a main body, a front panel and a design panel. The front panel is opaque and is integrally molded with a mounting portion. The design panel is transparent and is attached to the front panel. In addition, the design panel is provided with a design layer on a reverse side surface thereof.

1 . An indoor unit of an air conditioner, comprising: 
 a main body;    an opaque front panel integrally molded with a mounting portion that is configured to be attached to a front portion of the main body; and    a transparent design panel attached to the front panel having a design layer with at least a color scheme, the design layer being provided on a reverse side surface of the design panel.    
   
   
       2 . The indoor unit according to  claim 1 , wherein 
 the design panel is attached to the front panel at a peripheral portion thereof.    
   
   
       3 . An indoor unit of an air conditioner, comprising: 
 a main body;    a transparent front panel disposed at a front portion of the main body having a design layer with at least a color scheme design, the design layer being provided on a reverse side surface of the front panel; and    a plurality of mounting portions configured for attaching the front panel to the front portion of the main body, a part of the mounting portions being attached on the design layer.    
   
   
       4 . A method for manufacturing an indoor unit of an air conditioner comprising: 
 providing the indoor unit according to  claim 1;     forming the design layer on a portion or an entirety of the reverse side surface of the design panel; and    attaching the design panel to the main body such that the reverse side surface of the design panel and a part of the front portion of the main body face each other.    
   
   
       5 . A method for manufacturing an indoor unit of an air conditioner comprising: 
 providing the indoor unit according to  claim 3;     forming the design layer on a portion or an entirety of a reverse side surface of the front panel; and    attaching the part of the mounting portion on the design layer.
