Container with displaceable handle
Abstract
A container ( 1 ) comprising: a container body ( 2 ), a lid ( 3 ), and at least one handle ( 4 ) where the ends ( 5 ) of the at least one handle ( 4 ) are pivotably connected to opposite sides of said container body ( 2 ). At least one end ( 5 ) of the at least one handle ( 4 ) is displaceable between a first position ( 8 ) and a second position ( 9 ). In this way, a container is provided where the effective length of the handle can be increased or decreased. Therefore, the handle can be made to assume different positions. In a first position, the handle is resting on the edge of the container whereby the handle is easily visible and accessible to the user. In another position, the handle is resting along the sides of the container allowing a user to access the contents of the container.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A container comprising:
a container body, a lid, and
at least one handle where the ends of the at least one handle are pivotably connected to opposite sides of said container body,
wherein
at least one end of the at least one handle is displaceable between a first position and a second position.
2 . A container according to claim 1 , wherein when the at least one end of the at least one handle is in the first position, the handle can be rested on an edge of the container and or an edge of the lid, and when the at least one end of said at least one handle is in the second position, the handle can be pivoted past the edge of the lid and past the edge of the container such that the handle rests along the side of the container.
3 . A container according to claim 2 , wherein the at least one end of the at least one handle is connected to said container body via at least one key and slot arrangement.
4 . A container according to claim 3 , wherein said slot is formed in the container body and that the at least one end of the at least one handle forms a key which is arranged in the slot.
5 . A container according to claim 4 , wherein the slot is mainly vertically arranged.
6 . A container according to claim 2 , wherein the slot is placed at an angle (α) to a vertical centre line of the container body.
7 . A container according to claim 3 , wherein at least one end of the at least one handle is formed with a slot and a key, connected to the container, is arranged in the slot.
8 . A container according to claim 2 , wherein the container comprises two handles.
9 . A container according to claim 8 , wherein the ends of the handles are connected to the container body via slots formed in the container body and the slots are placed in the container body offset from a centre line of the container body.
10 . A container according to claim 9 , wherein the slots are angled with respect to the centre line of the container body in such a way that top portions of the slots are further from the centre line of the container body than bottom portions of the slots.
11 . A container according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one end of the at least one handle is connected to said container body via at least one key and slot arrangement.
12 . A container according to claim 11 , wherein said slot is formed in the container body and that the at least one end of the at least one handle forms a key which is arranged in the slot.
13 . A container according to claim 12 , wherein the slot is mainly vertically arranged.
14 . A container according to claim 11 , wherein at least one end of the at least one handle is formed with a slot and a key, connected to the container, is arranged in the slot.
15 . A container according to claim 1 , wherein the slot is placed at an angle (α) to a vertical centre line of the container body.
16 . A container according to claim 1 , wherein at least one end of the at least one handle is formed with a slot and a key, connected to the container, is arranged in the slot.
17 . A container according to claim 1 , wherein the container comprises two handles.
18 . A container according to claim 17 , wherein the ends of the handles are connected to the container body via slots formed in the container body and the slots are placed in the container body offset from a centre line of the container body.
19 . A container according to claim 18 , wherein the slots are angled with respect to the centre line of the container body in such a way that top portions of the slots are further from the centre line of the container body than bottom portions of the slots.
20 . A container according to claim 2 , wherein at least one end of the at least one handle is formed with a slot and a key, connected to the container, is arranged in the slot.Cited by (0)
