System and method for diagnostic analysis of delivery services

Abstract

A method of analyzing the operation of a delivery system. The method includes: determining a seeding plan; placing a seed piece into the delivery system; tracking the seed piece through the delivery system to generate tracking data; storing the tracking data in a central repository; and analyzing the tracking data to determine one or more faults.

1 . A method of analyzing the operation of a delivery system, comprising: 
 determining a seeding plan based on a destination code;    placing a seed piece into the delivery system;    tracking the seed piece through the delivery system to generate tracking data;    storing the tracking data in a central repository; and    analyzing the tracking data to determine one or more faults.    
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising providing a report of the tracking data.

         11 . A system for analyzing the operation of a delivery system, comprising: 
 a memory;    a database;    a processor coupled to the memory and the database, the processor configured to:    determine a seeding plan based on a destination code;    place a seed piece into the delivery system;    track the seed piece through the delivery system to generate tracking data;    store the tracking data in a central repository; and    analyze the tracking data to determine one or more faults.    
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the processor is further operable to provide a report of the tracking data.  
     
     
         13 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the processor is further operable to provide a report of the faults.

         21 . A computer-readable medium on which is stored a set of instructions for analyzing the operation of a delivery system, which when executed perform stages comprising: 
 determining a seeding plan based on a destination code;    placing a seed piece into the delivery system;    tracking the seed piece through the delivery system to generate tracking data;    storing the tracking data in a central repository; and    analyzing the tracking data to determine one or more faults.    
     
     
         22 . The computer-readable medium of  claim 21 , further comprising instructions for providing a report of the tracking data.
