Abstract

The inventive iron comprises a water container having a filling orifice ( 5 ) which is provided with a rigid cap ( 7 ) having a closure face ( 71 ) visible through the orifice. The cap ( 7 ) consists of retaining means which are embodied in such away that a first vertical pressure on the visible face ( 71 ) of the cap opens the orifice ( 5 ), thereby indenting said cap retaining means into the orifice ( 5 ), whereby making it possible to fill the container with water. When said retaining means are released, the orifice ( 5 ) is closed by the action produced by a second pressure on the visible face ( 71 ) of the cap.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . Pressing iron ( 1 ), comprising a water reservoir ( 4 ) having a filling orifice ( 5 ), the orifice ( 5 ) being provided with a rigid cover ( 7 ) having a closing face ( 71 ) visible in the orifice, characterized in that the cover ( 7 ) has retaining means such that a first push substantially perpendicular to the visible face ( 71 ) of the cover can open the orifice ( 5 ), said means retaining the cover ( 7 ) depressed in the orifice ( 5 ) while allowing the filling of the reservoir ( 4 ) with water, the retaining means being released and the orifice ( 5 ) being again closed under the action of a second push on said visible face ( 71 ) of the cover.

2 . Pressing iron according to the preceding claim characterized in that the cover ( 7 ) is retracted in the orifice ( 5 ) during the filling of the reservoir ( 4 ).

3 . Pressing iron according to the preceding claim characterized in that the orifice ( 5 ) being in open position, a path (F) intended for the filling water is provided around the cover.

       4 . Pressing iron according to the preceding claim characterized in that the orifice ( 5 ) having a body ( 6 ), the cover ( 7 ) in closed position bears on a peripheral internal face ( 63 ) of the body ( 6 ), under the action of a spring ( 9 ).

5 . Pressing iron according to the preceding claim characterized in that the cover ( 7 ) carries along in translation a part ( 8 ) movable in rotation provided with teeth ( 81 ) intended to come in correspondence with complementary teeth ( 64 ) of the body ( 6 ) when the orifice ( 5 ) is open, the teeth ( 81 ) of the movable part ( 8 ) sliding on complementary parts ( 72 ) of the cover ( 7 ) when said cover is pushed.

6 . Pressing iron according to the preceding claim characterized in that the extension ( 711 ) of the face ( 71 ) of the cover ( 7 ), or the internal peripheral face ( 63 ) of the body ( 6 ) coming in contact with one another, are provided with a complementary seal.
