Abstract
A mechanism for securing a servo mechanism is provided, comprising a servo having first and second opposite ends, the servo further comprising a fastening member extending from the first end and a fastening member extending from the second end, a first clamp for securing fastening member of the first end of the servo to a vehicle, and a second clamp for securing the fastening member of the second end of the servo to a vehicle.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A mechanism for securing a servo mechanism onto a model vehicle, comprising:
a servo having first and second opposite ends, the servo further comprising a fastening member extending from the first end and a fastening member extending from the second end; a first clamp for securing fastening member of the first end of the servo to the model vehicle; and a second clamp for securing the fastening member of the second end of the servo to a model vehicle.

The mechanism of claim 1 , wherein the first clamp comprises one or more indexing structures for mating with a corresponding structure on or secured to a vehicle chassis at a first chassis support surface and for securing the first clamp against rotation and sliding relative to the chassis support surface.

The mechanism of claim 1 , wherein the second clamp comprises one or more indexing structures for mating with a corresponding structure on or secured to a vehicle chassis at a second chassis support surface and for securing the second clamp against rotation relative to the chassis support surface and against sliding laterally relative to the servo.
4 . The mechanism of claim 3 , wherein the indexing structures of the second clamp allow the second clamp to be moved toward and away from the servo to secure one of a plurality of servos of different lengths.
5 . The mechanism of claim 4 , further comprising fastening means for tightening the second clamp to the fastening member of the second end of the servo and securing the second clamp relative to the chassis.
6 . The mechanism of claim 2 , further comprising fastening means for tightening the first clamp to the fastening member of the first end of the servo and securing the first clamp relative to the chassis.
7 . The mechanism of claim 1 , wherein the first clamp further comprises a hinge configured to allow clamping of fastening members of a plurality of thicknesses.
8 . The mechanism of claim 1 , wherein the second clamp further comprises a hinge configured to allow clamping of fastening members of a plurality of thicknesses.
9 . The mechanism of claim 7 , wherein at least a portion of the first clamp hinge comprises a strip of flexible material.
10 . The mechanism of claim 8 , wherein at least a portion of the second clamp hinge comprises a strip of flexible material.
11 . The mechanism of claim 2 , wherein the one or more indexing structures of the first clamp comprises a plurality of bosses extending between the clamp and the vehicle chassis or corresponding structure on the vehicle chassis at a first support surface.
12 . The mechanism of claim 3 , wherein the one or more indexing structures of the second clamp comprises a plurality of bosses extending between the clamp and the vehicle chassis or corresponding structure on the vehicle chassis at a second support surface.
13 . The mechanism of claim 1 , wherein the first clamp comprises:
at least two clamping members for clamping the fastening member extending from the first end of the servo; and a plurality of hinges extending between the at least two clamping members at opposing lateral sides of the clamp.
14 . The mechanism of claim 13 , wherein at least a portion of one of the hinges comprises a strip of flexible material.
15 . The mechanism of claim 1 , wherein the first and second clamps comprise a glass fill composite material.Cited by (0)
