Reconfigurable toy extreme sport skater

Abstract

A transformable toy, comprising of a body; at least one leg assembly moveably coupled to the body; and a skate moveably coupled to the leg assembly; wherein at least the body, the leg assembly, and the skate are transformable between a skating configuration and a vehicle configuration.

1 . A transformable toy, comprising: 
 a body;    at least one leg assembly moveably coupled to the body; and    a skate moveably coupled to the leg assembly;    wherein at least the body, the leg assembly, and the skate are transformable between a skating configuration and a vehicle configuration.    
   
   
       2 . The toy of  claim 1 , wherein the body is configured to releasably receive an action figure in the skating configuration and in the vehicle configuration.  
   
   
       3 . The toy of  claim 1 , where the body remains coupled to the leg assembly throughout transformation between the skating configuration and the vehicle configuration.  
   
   
       4 . The toy of  claim 1 , wherein the leg assembly includes a shin portion and a thigh portion coupled to each other by a knee joint that enables rotation of the shin portion relative to the thigh portion, and wherein the thigh portion is coupled to the body by a hip joint that enables rotation of the thigh portion relative to the body.  
   
   
       5 . The toy of  claim 4 , wherein the shin portion is rotated relative to the thigh portion about a first axis of rotation at the knee joint, and the thigh portion is rotated relative to the body about a second axis of rotation at the hip joint when reconfiguring the toy between the skating configuration and the vehicle configuration.  
   
   
       6 . The toy of  claim 5 , wherein the first axis of rotation is substantially parallel to the second axis of rotation.  
   
   
       7 . The toy of  claim 1 , wherein the skate includes at least two wheels.  
   
   
       8 . The toy of  claim 7 , wherein the wheels are aligned in an in-line configuration.  
   
   
       9 . The toy of  claim 7 , wherein at least one of the wheels has a different diameter than at least one other of the wheels.  
   
   
       10 . The toy of  claim 1 , wherein the leg assembly is releasably coupled to the body.  
   
   
       11 . The toy of  claim 1 , further comprising an actuator configured to uncouple at least the leg assembly from the body upon actuation of the actuator.  
   
   
       12 . The toy of  claim 1 , wherein the leg assembly serves as a leg in the skating configuration and a vehicle quarter panel in the vehicle configuration.  
   
   
       13 . The toy of  claim 1 , wherein the leg assembly serves as a leg in the skating configuration and a front vehicle quarter panel in the vehicle configuration.  
   
   
       14 . The toy of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one arm assembly that serves as an arm in the skating mode and a rear vehicle quarter panel in the vehicle mode.  
   
   
       15 . A toy, comprising: 
 a body;    at least one leg assembly moveably coupled to the body;    a skate coupled to the leg assembly; and    a trigger configured to selectively decouple the leg assembly from the body.    
   
   
       16 . The toy of  claim 15 , wherein at least the body, the leg assembly, and the skate are transformable between a skating configuration and a vehicle configuration.  
   
   
       17 . The toy of  claim 16 , wherein the trigger is configured to selectively decouple the leg assembly from the body in the skating configuration and in the vehicle configuration.  
   
   
       18 . The toy of  claim 16 , wherein the trigger is operable in the skating configuration and in the vehicle configuration.  
   
   
       19 . The toy of  claim 15 , further comprising at least one other leg assembly and at least two arm assemblies, wherein the trigger is configured to selectively decouple the leg assemblies and the arm assemblies from the body.  
   
   
       20 . A toy power suit, comprising: 
 a frame corresponding to the shape of a humanoid figure;    a cockpit on the frame configured to receive a humanoid-shaped pilot; and    a pair of skates coupled to the frame.    
   
   
       21 . The toy power suit of  claim 20 , wherein each of the skates includes at least two wheels.  
   
   
       22 . The toy power suit of  claim 20 , wherein the skates are one of roller blades, ice skates, or roller skates.
