Abstract
Water dispersion devices and methods for continuously cleaning an inner surface of a sink basin and a drainpipe of the sink basin comprises at least one member having an end an opposite end. The at least one member includes an inner surface of a portion of the end having a substantially concave shape adapted to couple to a portion of a surface of a cap located at an end of an elongated member of a drain plug of a sink basin. An inner surface of a portion of an opposite end has a substantially concave shape adapted to disperse a stream of water when the stream of water is directed onto the substantially concave shaped opposite end.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A water dispersion device comprising, in combination:
at least one member having an end and an opposite end; an inner surface of a portion of said end having a substantially concave shape, said end dispersing a stream of water when said stream of water is directed onto said substantially concave shaped inner surface; said opposite end including an inner surface having a substantially concave shape, said opposite end adapted to couple to a portion of a surface of a cap located at an end of a drain plug; and said substantially concave shaped inner surface of said end redirecting said stream of water uniformly to an inner surface of said sink basin thereby cleaning a portion of said inner surface of said sink basin.

The device of claim 1 wherein said substantially concave shaped inner surface of said end both aerating and uniformly dispersing a stream of water flowing from a water faucet of said sink basin having a drain hole, accelerating flow of said stream of water into said drain hole of said sink basin.
3 . The device of claim 1 wherein said substantially concave shaped inner surface of said opposite end coupled to a portion of said surface of said cap of said drain plug by suction.
4 . The device of claim 1 wherein said portion of said opposite end of said at least one member comprising a substantially flexible material.
5 . The device of claim 1 wherein said portion of said end of said at least one member comprising a substantially rigid material.
6 . The device of claim 4 wherein said substantially flexible material is selected from the group consisting of a flexible plastic and a rubber.
7 . The device of claim 5 wherein said substantially rigid material is selected from the group consisting of a plastic, a composite plastic and a metal.
8 . A water dispersion device comprising, in combination:
a first member and a second member; an inner surface of a portion of an end of said first member having a substantially concave shape, said end of said first member dispersing a stream of water uniformly when said stream of water is directed onto said substantially concave shaped inner surface, a portion of an opposite end of said first member having an opening; a portion of an end of said second member having a protrusion, said protrusion adapted to couple to said opening of said opposite end of said first member, an inner surface of a portion of an opposite end of said second member having a substantially concave shape; and said opposite end of said second member adapted to couple to a portion of a surface of a cap located at an end of a drain plug.
9 . The device of claim 8 wherein said protrusion permitting selective positioning of said substantially concave shaped inner surface of said end of said first member of said water dispersion device.
10 . The device of claim 8 wherein said substantially concave shaped inner surface of said first member both aerating and uniformly dispersing a stream of water thereby cleaning an inner surface of said sink basin and accelerating flow of said stream of water into a drain hole of said sink basin.
11 . The device of claim 8 wherein said substantially concave shaped inner surface of said opposite end of said water dispersion device coupled to a portion of said surface of said cap of said drain plug by suction.
12 . The device of claim 8 wherein said opposite end of said second member comprising a substantially flexible material.
13 . The device of claim 8 wherein said end of said first member comprising a substantially rigid material.
14 . A water dispersion drain device of a sink basin having a drain hole comprising, in combination:
an elongated member and a head member; an inner surface of a portion of an end of said head member having a substantially concave shape, and an outer surface of a portion of an opposite end of said head member coupled to an end of said elongated member, said head member dispersing a stream of water uniformly when said stream of water is directed onto said substantially concave shaped inner surface; a portion of an opposite end of said elongated member having at least one opening, said at least one opening adapted to couple to an actuator for selectively moving said water dispersion drain device to open and close said drain hole of said sink basin.
15 . The device of claim 14 further comprising a plurality of elongated ribs located on a portion of said elongated member.
16 . The device of claim 14 comprising a substantially rigid material selected from the group consisting of a plastic, a composite plastic and a metal.
17 . The device of claim 14 wherein said substantially concave shaped inner surface of said end of said head member both aerating and uniformly dispersing a stream of water, thereby cleaning an inner surface of said sink basin and accelerating flow of said stream of water into a drain hole of said sink basin.
18 . A method for cleaning both a sink basin and a drainpipe of the sink basin having a drain hole, comprising the steps of:
providing a water dispersion device having a first member and a second member, an inner surface of a portion of an end of said first member having a substantially concave shape, said end of said first member dispersing a stream of water uniformly when said stream of water is directed onto said substantially concave shaped inner surface of said portion of said end of said first member, and a portion of an opposite end of said first member having an opening, a portion of an end of said second member having a protrusion, said protrusion of said second member adapted to couple to said opening of said portion of said opposite end of said first member, an inner surface of a portion of an opposite end of said second member having a substantially concave shape; coupling said opening of said opposite end of said first member to said protrusion of said end of said second member; coupling said substantially concave shaped inner surface of said portion of said opposite end of said second member to a portion of a surface of a cap of a drain plug of a sink basin; directing a stream of water flowing from a faucet of said sink basin onto said concave shaped inner surface of said portion of said end of said first member; aerating and uniformly dispersing said stream of water to clean an inner surface of said sink basin; accelerating flow of said stream of water into said drain hole of said sink basin, thereby cleaning said drainpipe of said sink basin; and decreasing overall water usage by efficiently cleaning said inner surface of said sink basin and said drainpipe of said sink basin.
19 . The method of claim 18 further comprising the steps of:
coupling said protrusion of said end of said second member pivotally to said opening of said portion of said opposite end of said first member; positioning said concave shaped inner surface of said portion of said end of said first member of said water dispersion device selectively to receive a stream of water flowing from said faucet onto said concave shaped inner surface of said portion of said end of said first member; and dispersing and aerating said stream of water by said concave shaped inner surface of said portion of said end of said first member onto a portion of said inner surface of said sink basin thereby cleaning a portion of said sink basin.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
