Abstract
A head support mechanism includes a head to read/write information, and an actuator for moving the head. Flanges are provided on opposite sides of a load beam of the head support mechanism, and at least one recessed portion is provided on the load beam. A thickness of the load beam at the at least one recessed portion is smaller than a thickness at other portions of the load beam at least one of oscillation damping material and an IC circuit is arranged in the at least one recessed portion.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A head support mechanism including a head to read/write information, and an actuator for moving the head, wherein flanges are provided on opposite sides of a load beam of the head support mechanism, and at least one recessed portion is provided on the load beam, a thickness of the load beam at the at least one recessed portion is smaller than a thickness at other portions of the load beam, and oscillation damping material is arranged in the at least one recessed portion.
2 . A head support mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein the oscillation damping material has a height which is less than a height of the flanges.
3 . A head assembly in which a head slider is fixed to the head support mechanism according to claim 1 .
4 . A magnetic disk apparatus including the head assembly according to claim 3 .
5 . A head support mechanism including a head to read/write information, and an actuator for moving the head, wherein flanges are provided on opposite sides of the load beam of the head support mechanism, and at least one recessed portion is provided on the load beam, a thickness of the load beam at the at least one recessed portion is smaller than a thickness at other portions of the load beam, and an IC circuit is arranged in the at least one recessed portion.
6 . A head support mechanism according to claim 5 , wherein the IC circuit has a height which is less than a height of the flanges.
7 . A head assembly in which a head slider is fixed to the head support mechanism according to claim 5 .
8 . A magnetic disk apparatus including the head assembly according to claim 7 .
9 . A head support mechanism including a head to read/write information, and an actuator for moving the head, wherein a wiring portion is electrically connected with a microactuator, the head is fastened to a wiring fixing plate, and an IC circuit is arranged on the wiring portion.
10 . A head assembly in which a head slider is fixed to the head support mechanism according to claim 9 .
11 . A magnetic disk apparatus including the head assembly according to claim 10.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
