Abstract

A process for producing an arched pane arrangement for a motor vehicle, using a flexible die ( 24 ), a plastic film ( 22 ) being pressed onto the arched glass pane ( 18 ) in order to form a film combination ( 26 ) and the film combination being subjected to heat treatment at an pressure which is below atmospheric pressure in order to laminate the plastic film onto the pane. The die ( 24 ) is thin glass or a metal foil with a layer thickness of less than 1 mm each.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . Process for producing an arched pane arrangement for a motor vehicle, by means of a flexible die, comprising the steps of:
pressing a plastic film onto an arched glass pane in order to form a film combination and subjecting the film combination to heat treatment at a pressure which is below atmospheric pressure in order to laminate the plastic film onto the pane, wherein the die is formed of thin glass or a metal foil and has a layer thickness of less than 1 mm, and wherein, before the film combination is exposed to pressure, the film combination is placed in a lower mold with the side of the pane that faces away from the plastic film facing the lower mold.

2 . Process as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the lower mold is heated.

3 . Process as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the lower mold has a curvature which at most equal to the curvature of the pane.

4 . Process for producing an arched pane arrangement for a motor vehicle, by means of a die, comprising the steps of:
pressing a plastic film onto an arched glass pane to form a film combination and subjecting the film combination to heat treatment at a pressure which is below atmospheric pressure to laminate the plastic film onto the pane, wherein the heat treatment is carried out in a laminator.

5 . Process as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the laminator has two chambers which are separated by a laminator membrane, wherein the film combination is placed in the first of the two chambers, wherein both chambers are evacuated and the second of the two chambers is ventilated before heat treatment begins, the laminator membrane pressing the die against the plastic film.

6 . Process as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the laminator has two chambers which are separated by a laminator membrane, wherein the film combination is placed in the first of the two chambers, wherein both chambers are evacuated and the second of the two chambers is exposed to a pressure from 1 to 5 bar before heat treatment begins, the laminator membrane pressing the die against the plastic film.
