Motorized broom

Abstract

A motorized broom includes a handle, a universal connector, and a cleaning portion. The universal connector is used for connecting the handle and the cleaning portion. Thus, the universal connector together with the handle is rotatable relative to the cleaning portion universally, so that the cleaning portion is angle adjustable so as to clean the corner of the house exactly. In addition, the dust collector is removably mounted on the main base, so that the dust collector can be removed from the main base easily and rapidly, thereby facilitating a user removing the dust collector.

1 . A motorized broom, comprising: 
 a handle having an elongated shape and a multi-stage structure, wherein the handle is provided with a switch, a mounting seat and a chargeable battery removably mounted on the mounting seat;    a universal connector connecting the handle and the cleaning portion and including a seat portion, a ball portion and a shank portion, wherein the seat portion is secured to the cleaning portion, the ball portion is pivotally mounted on the seat portion, and the shank portion has a lower end pivotally mounted on the ball portion, so that the universal connector together with the handle is rotatable relative to the cleaning portion freely and has an upper end connected to the handle;    a cleaning portion having a triangular shape and including a cover, a main base, and a dust collector, wherein the main base has a first side for mounting the seat portion and a second side provided with a motor chamber for mounting a motor, the motor is connected to the mounting seat by an electric wire and has a shaft having a gear meshing with a gear which is located at a central portion of two helical brushes to drive the helical brushes to rotate, each of the helical brushes has an end provided with a bevel gear meshing with a bevel gear of another helical brush, so that the helical brushes at three sides of the triangular cleaning portion are rotated inwardly and simultaneously, each of the helical brushes has brush portions arranged in a helical manner, each of the brush portions of the respective helical brush has multiple bristles and has a length reaching the ground, each of the three sides of the triangular cleaning portion is provided with an end brush that is rotated with the helical brushes simultaneously, the end brush has six brush portions arranged in a S-shaped manner to convey trash at a corner inwardly, the cover is mounted on the main base, the main base is mounted on the dust collector, the dust collector encompasses the brush portions, the dust collector has a peripheral wall formed with a ramp having a bottom formed with a scraper to introduce the trash into the dust collector, the main base has a downward vertical wall to conduct the direction of the trash so that the trash is pushed into the dust collector smoothly without being disturbed by the perturbation produced by rotation of the brush portions.    
   
   
       2 . The motorized broom in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein the handle has and includes multiple sub-handles, wherein one sub-handle has an end provided with a stepped hole, a screw bore and multiple protruding teeth, and another adjacent sub-handle has an end provided with a stepped post inserted into the stepped hole, an outer thread screwed into the screw bore and multiple serrated grooves engaged with the protruding teeth, so that the sub-handles of the handle are combined with each other.  
   
   
       3 . The motorized broom in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein the shank portion has an upper end provided with an insert formed with at least one insertion hole, a limit slot and a flexible positioning plate having a positioning boss, and the handle has a lower end provided with a mounting portion mounted on the insert to form an electrical connection and formed with at least one plug inserted into the insertion hole, a protruding strip limited in the limit slot and a positioning hole to allow passage of the positioning boss so that the handle is positioned on the shank portion.  
   
   
       4 . The motorized broom in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein the gear is integrally formed with an axle having two ends each formed with a flat insert inserted into a flat recess formed in one end of each of the helical brushes so that each of the helical brushes is rotated with the gear.

The motorized broom in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein the main base has a plurality of post holes and two slots, the dust collector has a plurality of posts inserted into the post holes and two elastic plates snapped into the slots so that the dust collector is mounted on the main base closely, and each of the elastic plates has a tapered wedge block extended through the slots and elastically retracted into the slots to snap the dust collector onto the main base.  
   
   
       6 . The motorized broom in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein the main base has a plurality of positioning holes and a plurality of slidable locking members, and the cover has a plurality of downward extended columns inserted into the positioning holes and a plurality of depressions snapped onto the locking members.  
   
   
       7 . The motorized broom in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein the main base has windows to facilitate a user inspecting the inside of the dust collector.  
   
   
       8 . The motorized broom in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein the main base has triangular corners each formed with a box for mounting the bevel gear and the helical brushes, a spherical support is mounted on the box rested on the ground, so that the scraper and the brush portions are spaced from the ground.  
   
   
       9 . The motorized broom in accordance with  claim 8 , wherein each of the helical brushes is provided with a dustproof ring mounted on the connection between the box and the respective helical brush.

The motorized broom in accordance with  claim 8 , wherein the spherical support has an inside formed with a conical reduced hole, and the box has two outwardly extended elastic plates inserted into the conical reduced hole, so that the spherical support is mounted on the box closely.  
   
   
       11 . The motorized broom in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein the cover has a bottom formed with a plurality of openings spaced from the ground to facilitate the trash entering the helical brushes.
