Abstract
Methods, systems, and products are provided for workflow decision management. Embodiments include maintaining a device state history; identifying a plurality of device usage patterns in dependence upon the device state history; identifying a plurality of workflow scenarios in dependence upon the device usage patterns; determining a workflow administration capacity in dependence upon the plurality of workflow scenarios; identifying a plurality of workflows in dependence upon the workflow scenario; executing the plurality of workflows in dependence upon the workflow administration capacity.

maintaining a device state history; identifying a plurality of device usage patterns in dependence upon the device state history; identifying a plurality of workflow scenarios in dependence upon the device usage patterns; determining a workflow administration capacity in dependence upon the plurality of workflow scenarios; identifying a plurality of workflows in dependence upon the workflow scenario; and executing the plurality of workflows in dependence upon the workflow administration capacity.
2 . The method of claim 1 wherein determining a workflow administration capacity in dependence upon the plurality of workflow scenarios further comprises determining whether the workflows associated with the workflow scenarios conflict.
3 . The method of claim 2 further comprising augmenting one or more of the plurality of workflows if the workflows associated with the workflow scenarios conflict.
4 . The method of claim 1 wherein determining a workflow administration capacity in dependence upon the plurality of workflow scenarios further comprises:
identifying a plurality of devices administered by the plurality of workflow scenarios; identifying an associated tolerance for each the workflow scenario; retrieving individual device capacities for the identified devices; and identifying an administration capacity for the administration of the identified devices in dependence upon the associated tolerances for the workflows and the individual device capacities.

The method of claim 3 wherein identifying a workflow administration capacity for the administration of the identified devices further comprises selecting a workflow administration capacity record in dependence upon the identified device capacities, the associated tolerances, and workflow scenarios.

The method of claim 3 wherein identifying a workflow administration capacity for the administration of the identified devices further comprises dynamically determining an administration capacity in dependence upon the identified device capacities, the associated tolerances, the workflow scenarios, and a dynamic administration rule.
7 . The method of claim 1 wherein maintaining a device state history further comprises recording a plurality of attribute values for a plurality of devices.
8 . The method of claim 1 wherein identifying a plurality of device usage patterns in dependence upon the device state history further comprises comparing the device state history with a plurality of device usage patterns records.
9 . A system for workflow decision management, the system comprising:
a computer processor; a computer memory operatively coupled to the computer processor, the computer memory having disposed within it computer program instructions capable of: maintaining a device state history; identifying a plurality of device usage patterns in dependence upon the device state history; identifying a plurality of workflow scenarios in dependence upon the device usage patterns; determining a workflow administration capacity in dependence upon the plurality of workflow scenarios; identifying a plurality of workflows in dependence upon the workflow scenario; and executing the plurality of workflows in dependence upon the workflow administration capacity.
10 . The system of claim 9 wherein the computer memory also has disposed within it computer program instructions capable of determining whether the workflows associated with the workflow scenarios conflict.
11 . The system of claim 10 wherein the computer memory also has disposed within it computer program instructions capable of augmenting one or more of the plurality of workflows if the workflows associated with the workflow scenarios conflict.
12 . The system of claim 9 wherein the computer memory also has disposed within it computer program instructions capable of:
identifying a plurality of devices administered by the plurality of workflow scenarios; identifying an associated tolerance for each the workflow scenario; retrieving individual device capacities for the identified devices; and identifying an administration capacity for the administration of the identified devices in dependence upon the associated tolerances for the workflows and the individual device capacities.
13 . The system of claim 12 wherein the computer memory also has disposed within it computer program instructions capable of selecting a workflow administration capacity record in dependence upon the identified device capacities, the associated tolerances, and workflow scenarios.

The system of claim 12 wherein the computer memory also has disposed within it computer program instructions capable of dynamically determining an administration capacity in dependence upon the identified device capacities, the associated tolerances, the workflow scenarios, and a dynamic administration rule.
15 . A computer program product for workflow decision management, the computer program product embodied on a computer-readable medium, the computer program product comprising:
computer program instructions for maintaining a device state history; computer program instructions for identifying a plurality of device usage patterns in dependence upon the device state history; computer program instructions for identifying a plurality of workflow scenarios in dependence upon the device usage patterns; computer program instructions for determining a workflow administration capacity in dependence upon the plurality of workflow scenarios; computer program instructions for identifying a plurality of workflows in dependence upon the workflow scenario; and computer program instructions for executing the plurality of workflows in dependence upon the workflow administration capacity.

The computer program product of claim 15 wherein computer program instructions for determining a workflow administration capacity in dependence upon the plurality of workflow scenarios further comprise computer program instructions for determining whether the workflows associated with the workflow scenarios conflict.
17 . The computer program product of claim 16 further comprising computer program instructions for augmenting one or more of the plurality of workflows if the workflows associated with the workflow scenarios conflict.
18 . The computer program product of claim 15 wherein computer program instructions for determining a workflow administration capacity in dependence upon the plurality of workflow scenarios further comprise:
computer program instructions for identifying a plurality of devices administered by the plurality of workflow scenarios; computer program instructions for identifying an associated tolerance for each the workflow scenario; computer program instructions for retrieving individual device capacities for the identified devices; and computer program instructions for identifying an administration capacity for the administration of the identified devices in dependence upon the associated tolerances for the workflows and the individual device capacities.

The computer program product of claim 18 wherein computer program instructions for identifying a workflow administration capacity for the administration of the identified devices further comprise computer program instructions for selecting a workflow administration capacity record in dependence upon the identified device capacities, the associated tolerances, and workflow scenarios.

The computer program product of claim 18 wherein computer program instructions for identifying a workflow administration capacity for the administration of the identified devices further comprise computer program instructions for dynamically determining an administration capacity in dependence upon the identified device capacities, the associated tolerances, the workflow scenarios, and a dynamic administration rule.Cited by (0)
