Abstract

The present invention is a guide for delivering drywall at a construction site. The device comprises a weight bearing base with a plurality of vertically disposed guide rollers. Both the guide rollers and the base are composed of a material that has a low coefficient of friction, thereby limiting damage to the construction material. Preferably, the guide rollers are 4 to 12 inches apart depending on the thickness and amount of drywall passing through the rollers at any given time. The device is further comprised of an attachment plate and a plurality of support legs that secure the device to the wood framing or siding on a construction site.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A device for facilitating the transport of construction materials, comprising:
a substantially horizontal weight bearing base with a plurality of vertically disposed guide rollers attached to the upper surface of said base; an attachment plate that is capable of securing said device to a weight-bearing surface; and, a support means capable of independently supporting said device in an upright position.

2 . The device of claim 1 , wherein said weight bearing base comprises a first and second end, wherein each end is downwardly sloped.

3 . The device of claim 1 , wherein said weight bearing base is comprised of a material that has a low coefficient of friction.

4 . The device of claim 1 , wherein said guide rollers is comprised of a material that has a low coefficient of friction.

5 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the height of said device is adjustable.

6 . The device of claim 1 , wherein said attachment plate further comprises a plurality of apertures that secure said device to a specified work station.

7 . The device of claim 1 , wherein said guide rollers are oriented in a parallel fashion on opposing sides of said base.

8 . The device of claim 6 , wherein said guide rollers are 1 inch to 15 inches apart and preferably 4 inches to 12 inches apart.

9 . The device of claim 1 , wherein said support means comprises a plurality of support legs.

10 . The device of claim 9 , wherein at least one of said support legs further comprises a securing platform that is capable of anchoring said device to a desired work area.

11 . The device of claim 9 , wherein at least one of said support legs has a telescoping means for adjusting the length of said support leg.

12 . A device for facilitating the transport of construction materials, comprising:
a substantially horizontal weight bearing base with a plurality of vertically disposed guide rollers attached to the upper surface of said base; an attachment plate that is capable of securing said device to a weight-bearing surface; a vertical frame fixedly connected to the underside of said base and to said attachment plate; and, a plurality of support legs, wherein at least one of said support legs has a telescoping means for adjusting the length of said support leg.
