Abstract

A covering member filled in a spare bay of a server having a first latch portion is proposed. The covering member includes a hollow body capable of being inserted in the spare bay, an opening formed on a side surface of the hollow body, a spring unit formed on a surface of the hollow body, and a functional unit extended from the side surface of the hollow body. The functional unit includes a second latch portion disposed corresponding to the first latch portion, a spring arm for providing resilience for the second latch portion, and an operating portion extended from the hollow body. Thus, by the present invention, a user may readily actuate the operating portion through the opening. Moreover, by the extended design of the functional unit, the number of the jointing points can be significantly reduced, thereby decreasing the fabrication cost.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A covering member capable of filling in a spare bay of a server having a first latch portion, the covering member comprising:
a hollow body capable of being inserted in the bay, an opening being formed on a side surface of the hollow body and extended toward a region outside of the spare bay; a spring unit formed on a surface of the hollow body for limiting the degree of freedom of the hollow body in the spare bay; and a functional unit extended from the side surface of the hollow body, the functional unit having a spring arm, a second latch portion disposed on the spring arm for engaging with the first latch portion, and an operating portion moving in accordance with the movement of the spring arm and capable of being operated by a finger through the opening.

2 . The covering member of claim 1 , wherein the spring arm is extended from a side surface of the hollow body.

3 . The covering member of claim 2 , wherein the second latch portion is formed in an end of the spring arm.

4 . The covering member of claim 2 , wherein the operating portion is a suspension link for a finger to plunge in and vertically extended from the spring arm.

5 . The covering member of claim 4 , wherein the suspension link is dislocated with the opening to allow the finger to plunge in.

6 . The covering member of claim 1 , wherein the first latch portion is a latch hole, and the second latch portion is a hook.

7 . The covering member of claim 6 , wherein the hook is protruded from the spring arm to a region outside of the hollow body.

8 . The covering member of claim 1 , wherein the opening is a finger hole for a finger to plunge in.

9 . The covering member of claim 1 , wherein the spring unit is a spring piece integrated with the hollow body and protruded to a region outside of the hollow body.

10 . The covering member of claim 9 , wherein the spring piece is protruded obliquely to a region outside of the hollow body.
