Abstract

The invention to which this application relates is an assembly for the attachment and movement thereby of skis, ski components and/or boards. The assembly comprises reception means which are provided with skids and/or wheels or rollers thereon to allow the said assembly to be moved across a surface, whether that surface be smooth, snow, road or the like. Also provided in the assembly are gripping means, said gripping means can be attached to the reception means, typically by elasticated cords and which gripping means are movable from a storage position with the reception means to an in-use position where the same are moved to a position remote from the reception means location on the skis to locate with a further portion, typically the bindings, of the skis. The assembly can be controlled via the gripping means to push or pull the assembly across the surface.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
. An assembly for the carriage of skis across a surface, said assembly including a reception means for the reception of an end of the skis, and gripping means wherein said reception means are connected to at least one wheel, roller and/or skid for contact with the surface to allow the skis to be pulled or pushed by a person along the surface and said gripping means are attached to the skis at a location remote from the reception means.

. An assembly according to claim 1 wherein the wheels or rollers can be used instead of or be replaced by or used in conjunction with a skid or skids located on the assembly.

. An assembly according to claim 2 wherein the skids and/or rollers and wheels are selectively movable between in-use and storage positions.

. An assembly according to claim 1 wherein the reception means includes a part which is movable between in-use and storage conditions.

. An assembly according to claim 4 wherein the gripping means of the assembly are received in the reception means for storage and removable from the reception means to be attached to a remote location on the skis in an in-use condition.

. An assembly according to claim 1 wherein the gripping means are attached to the reception means.

. An assembly according to claim 1 wherein the gripping means are locatable with the bindings provided on at lest one of the skis.

. An assembly according to claim 6 wherein the gripping means are attached to the reception means via elongate members.

. An assembly according to claim 8 wherein the elongate members are elasticated cords.

. An assembly according to claim 1 wherein the reception means include location means which allow interconnection with other similar assemblies to allow a plurality of pairs of skis and/or ski poles to be received on a common assembly.

. An assembly according to claim 1 wherein additional components, skis or boards can be attached to a set of skis supported by the assembly of the invention to allow the said additional components, skis or boards to be moved via the assembly.

. An assembly according to claim 1 wherein the assembly is movable from an in-use position in which the wheels or rollers are spaced apart and held in a formation with respect to the location of the skis and a storage position in which the wheels or rollers can be moved together and are collapsed or reduced in size to form a storage pack for carry or storage when not in use.

. An assembly according to claim 1 wherein the assembly, in a storage position, is provided to be worn on the person or carried by the person.

. An assembly according to claim 1 wherein the skis are pulled or pushed via the assembly by a person gripping the gripping means at a portion of the skis positioned remotely from the reception means.

. An assembly according to claim 1 wherein the gripping means include one or a number of straps which pass around the skis to keep the same together in a face to face relationship.

. An assembly according to claim 16 wherein the gripping means include a handle or gripping portion which allows the user to grip the same to push or pull the skis via the assembly.

. An assembly according to claim 1 wherein the assembly includes a shroud, said shroud provided to receive the length of the skis held in the assembly therein and to enclose the said skis.

. An assembly according to claim 1 wherein the gripping means and/or reception means include a securing means to allow the skis to be kept in a locked manner, together with the assembly.

. An assembly according to claim 1 wherein the assembly includes securing means to allow the same to be secured to a further article.

. An assembly according to claim 21 wherein the further article is a ski storage rack.
