Abstract
There is provided, in accordance with the principles of the present invention, a glove having a textured surface or textured foam coating produced by embedding a layer of discrete particles, such as a salt, into a previously formed liquid layer, gelling or curing the layer and dissolving the discrete particles to leave a textured or textured foamed surface.

a liquid impermeable nitrile latex layer; and a plurality of multi-faceted cavities in the nitrile latex layer.
2 . The glove of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of cavities is cubic shaped.
3 . The glove of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of cavities has at least five faces.
4 . The glove of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of cavities is multi-walled.
5 . The glove of claim 1 , wherein a first side of the nitrile latex layer comprises the plurality of multi-faceted cavities and a second side of the nitrile latex layer is substantially free of cavities.
6 . The glove of claim 1 , comprising a second latex layer.
7 . The glove of claim 6 , wherein the second latex layer is selected from a group consisting of natural rubber latex, synthetic rubber latex, polyurethane, nitrile and polychloroprene.
8 . The glove of claim 1 , comprising a plurality of latex layers.
9 . The glove of claim 8 , wherein each of the plurality of latex layers is selected from a group consisting of natural rubber latex, synthetic rubber latex, polyurethane, nitrile and polychloroprene.
10 . The glove of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of cavities is in a size range of 50 microns to 6000 microns.
11 . The glove of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of cavities is in a size range of 50 microns to 2000 microns.
12 . The glove of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of cavities is in a size range of 2000 microns to 6000 microns.
13 . The glove of claim 6 , wherein the second latex layer is foamed.
14 . The glove of claim 13 , wherein the foamed latex layer is an inner layer of the glove and the nitrile latex layer is an outer layer of the glove.
15 . The glove of claim 13 , wherein the foamed latex layer is open celled.
16 . The glove of claim 1 , wherein the nitrile latex layer is foamed.
17 . The glove of claim 1 , wherein the nitrile latex layer is unfoamed.
18 . The glove of claim 1 , comprising a second layer.
19 . The glove of claim 18 , wherein the second layer is a woven material.
20 . The glove of claim 19 , wherein the woven material is a knitted liner.
21 . The glove of claim 18 , wherein the second layer is a cotton flock.
22 . A glove, comprising:
a liquid impermeable nitrile latex layer; and a plurality of cavities; wherein a first side of the nitrile latex layer comprises the plurality of cavities.
23 . The glove of claim 22 , wherein a second side of the nitrile latex layer is substantially free of cavities.
24 . The glove of claim 22 , comprising a second latex layer formed against the second side of the nitrile latex layer.
25 . The glove of claim 23 , wherein the second latex layer is selected from a group consisting of natural rubber latex, synthetic rubber latex, polyurethane, nitrile and polychloroprene.
26 . The glove of claim 22 , comprising a plurality of latex layers formed atop the second side of the nitrile latex layer.
27 . The glove of claim 25 , wherein each of the plurality of latex layers is selected from a group consisting of natural rubber latex, synthetic rubber latex, polyurethane, nitrile and polychloroprene.
28 . The glove of claim 22 , wherein the plurality of cavities are multi-faceted.
29 . The glove of claim 22 , wherein each of the plurality of cavities is in a size range of 50 microns to 6000 microns.
30 . The glove of claim 22 , wherein each of the plurality of cavities is in a size range of 50 microns to 2000 microns.
31 . The glove of claim 22 , wherein each of the plurality of cavities is in a size range of 2000 microns to 6000 microns.
32 . The glove of claim 22 , comprising a foamed latex layer formed against the second side of the nitrile latex layer.
33 . The glove of claim 31 , wherein the foamed latex layer is an inner layer of the glove and the nitrile latex layer is an outer layer of the glove.
34 . The glove of claim 31 , wherein the foamed latex layer is open celled.
35 . The glove of claim 22 , wherein the nitrile latex layer is foamed.
36 . The glove of claim 22 , wherein the nitrile latex layer is unfoamed.
