Reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement and rubber product including the same

Abstract

A reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement of the present invention includes reinforcing fibers. The reinforcing fibers include polyarylate fibers 11 and a plurality of outer strands 12 that are arranged around the polyarylate fibers 11. The plurality of outer strands 12 include fibers other than polyarylate fibers. The use of this reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement makes it possible to obtain a reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement having high strength, elasticity, and bending fatigue resistance, and a rubber product including the same.

1 . A reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement comprising reinforcing fibers, 
 wherein the reinforcing fibers include polyarylate fibers and a plurality of outer strands that are arranged around the polyarylate fibers, and    the plurality of outer strands include fibers other than polyarylate fibers.    
   
   
       2 . The reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement according to  claim 1 , wherein the ratio of the polyarylate fibers to the reinforcing fibers is in a range of 20 vol. % to 80 vol. %.  
   
   
       3 . The reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement according to  claim 1 , wherein the polyarylate fibers form a strand of polyarylate fibers.  
   
   
       4 . The reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement according to  claim 3 , wherein the plurality of outer strands are glass fiber strands.  
   
   
       5 . The reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement according to  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of outer strands each are primarily twisted.  
   
   
       6 . The reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement according to  claim 5 , wherein the plurality of outer strands are finally twisted, with the polyarylate fibers serving as a core.  
   
   
       7 . The reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement according to  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of outer strands are formed of fibers having a lower elastic modulus than that of the polyarylate fibers.  
   
   
       8 . The reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement according to  claim 1 , further comprising a coating film containing rubber, wherein a surface of the reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement is coated with the coating film.  
   
   
       9 . A rubber product comprising a reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement according to  claim 1 .  
   
   
       10 . The rubber product according to  claim 9 , wherein a plurality of reinforcing cords for rubber reinforcement according to  claim 1  are arranged and embedded in the form of a sheet.  
   
   
       11 . The rubber product according to  claim 9 , wherein the rubber product is a rubber belt or a rubber crawler.
