Nail Care Implement and Case

Abstract

An implement for grooming nails in the form of a U shaped open loop having first and second top surfaces having nail grooming material affixed thereto, a packaged nail implement in a easer and a method for grooming nails.

1 . A nail care implement comprised of a U shaped open loop having first and second top surfaces wherein at least one of such surfaces is coated with a material that is suitable for treating or grooming nails. 
   
   
       2 . The implement of  claim 1  having two arms where one arm is longer than the other arm. 
   
   
       3 . The implement of  claim 1  where U shaped open loop has an inner surface. 
   
   
       4 . The implement of  claim 3  wherein the inner surface of U shaped open loop is covered with a thermoplastic material. 
   
   
       5 . The implement of  claim 4  wherein thermoplastic material is ergonomically shaped to facilitate finger gripping. 
   
   
       6 . The implement of  claim 4  wherein thermoplastic material is ergonomically shaped in the form of waves. 
   
   
       7 . The implement of  claim 4  wherein thermoplastic material contains markings. 
   
   
       8 . The implement of  claim 1  wherein first top surface has an abrasive affixed thereto. 
   
   
       9 . The implement of  claim 1  wherein second top surface has a material for buffing nails affixed thereto. 
   
   
       10 . The implement of  claim 1  wherein U shaped open loop is in an oblong shape. 
   
   
       11 . A packaged implement for grooming nails comprising an implement in the form of a U shaped open loop having first and second top surfaces having nail grooming material affixed thereto, stored in a case in the form of a housing having one open end. 
   
   
       12 . The packaged implement of  claim 11  wherein the case is in the form of an oblong housing. 
   
   
       13 . The packaged implement of  claim 12  wherein the case has a beaded edge around open end. 
   
   
       14 . The packaged implement of  claim 11  wherein the first top surface of U shaped open loop contains a nail grooming material that is an abrasive for filing the nails. 
   
   
       15 . The packaged implement of  claim 11  wherein the second top surface of U shaped open loop contains a nail grooming material that is a buffing material for buffing the nails. 
   
   
       16 . The packaged implement of  claim 11  wherein the U shaped open loop and case are oblong. 
   
   
       17 . A method for grooming nails comprising treating the nails with an implement in the form of a U shaped open loop having first and second top surfaces containing material for grooming the nails. 
   
   
       18 . The method of  claim 17  wherein first top surface has an abrasive material affixed thereto. 
   
   
       19 . The method of  claim 17  wherein second top surface has a buffing material affixed thereto. 
   
   
       20 . The method of  claim 17  wherein the implement is used to groom manicured nails.
