Abstract
Embodiments of variable mounting members for a telecommunications equipment cabinet are presented herein.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An apparatus comprising:
a supporting structure; and one or more mounting members removably fastened to the supporting structure, wherein each said mounting member is configured to secure one or more telecommunication components within a equipment cabinet formed via the supporting structure.
2 . The apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein each said mounting member includes a plurality of equipment mountings to secure telecommunication components within the cabinet.
3 . The apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein at least one said mounting member may be mounted in a plurality of positions on the supporting structure.
4 . The apparatus as described in claim l, wherein at least one said mounting member is configured as a strip that extends a length of the supporting structure.
5 . The apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein at least one said mounting member includes a first set of equipment mountings and a second set of equipment mountings disposed thereon and configured respectively to mount different types of telecommunication components.
6 . The apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein at least one said mounting member includes a first set of equipment mountings and a second set of equipment mountings disposed thereon and configured respectively to mount different sizes of telecommunication components.
7 . The apparatus as described in claim 6 , wherein the first set of equipment mountings and a second set of equipment mountings are configured with different mounting hole patterns corresponding to different sizes of telecommunications components.
8 . The apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein at least one said mounting member includes a portion formed of a first material and a portion formed of a second material.
9 . The apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein the one or more mounting members are removably fastened via a plurality of securing mechanisms disposed on one or more surfaces of the supporting structure.
10 . The apparatus as described in claim 1 , wherein of the plurality of securing mechanisms are configured to interlock with corresponding fastening mechanisms on a mounting member.
11 . A telecommunication equipment housing comprising a supporting structure and a plurality of mounting members removably fastened to the supporting structure to secure at least two different types of components within the housing.
12 . The telecommunication equipment housing 11 , wherein the components are selected from the group consisting of:
a chassis; a switch; a network element; a cross-connect panel; a repeater; a hub; a digital radio; a terminal block; and a protector block;
13 . The telecommunication equipment housing described in claim 11 , wherein the support structure includes a first mounting member to secure a first size component and a second mounting member to secure a second size component.
14 . The telecommunication equipment housing described in claim 11 , wherein the support structure includes a first mounting member and a second mounting member formed from different materials respectively.
15 . The telecommunication equipment housing described in claim 14 , wherein the material of each mounting member is selected from the group consisting of: metal, plastic, and rubber.
16 . The telecommunication equipment housing described in claim 11 , wherein the support structure includes a first mounting member and a second mounting member having different dimensions respectively.
17 . The telecommunication equipment housing described in claim 16 , wherein the different dimensions include one or more of the length, width, or thickness.
18 . The telecommunication equipment housing described in claim 11 , wherein at least one said mounting members is fastened to an interior surface of the support structure.
19 . A method comprising:
removably fastening a mounting member to a support structure of a telecommunications cabinet; and securing one or more telecommunication component to the cabinet via the mounting member.
20 . The method as recited in claim 19 , further comprising removably fastening a plurality of mounting members configured with variable dimensions to the support structure to permit mounting of a plurality of sizes of telecommunications components.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
