Drain assembly
Abstract
A drain assembly includes a cup connected to the sink and having an extension tube. A seal and an urging ring are mounted to the cup from the underside of the cup. A positioning plate is fixed to the cup and the extension tube extends through a central hole of the positioning plate. A plurality of bolts extend through the positioning plate and contact against the urging ring. A filtering seal device is connected to the cup. A connector is fixed to the extension tube and a positioning member is threadedly connected to the extension tube of the cup. The positioning member is engaged with the central hole of the positioning plate. By the engagement of the positioning member and the positioning plate, the assembler can quickly position the drain assembly.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A drain assembly comprising:
a cup adapted to be connected to the sink and having an extension tube extending from an underside thereof, the extension tube having an outer threaded periphery; a seal and an urging ring mounted to the cup from the underside of the cup; a positioning plate fixed to the cup and having a central hole through which the extension tube extends, a plurality of bolts extending through the positioning plate and contacting against the urging ring; a connector fixed to the extension tube; a filtering seal device connected to the cup and including a basket, a rubber seal and a rod which extends through the basket and connected to the rubber seal, and a positioning member having an inner threaded periphery which is threadedly connected to the outer threaded periphery of the extension tube, the positioning member engaged with the central hole of the positioning plate.
2 . The assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a plurality of recesses are defined in an inner periphery of the central hole of the positioning plate and the positioning member has a plurality of protrusions extending radially outward from an outer periphery thereof, the protrusions of the positioning member extend through the recess of the positioning plate and are rotated an angle such that the protrusions of the positioning member are supported on the inner periphery of the central hole of the positioning plate.
3 . A drain assembly comprising:
a cup adapted to be connected to the sink and having an extension tube extending from an underside thereof, the extension tube having a smooth outside; a seal and an urging ring mounted to the cup from the underside of the cup; a positioning plate fixed to the cup and having a central hole through which the extension tube extends, a plurality of bolts extending through the positioning plate and contacting against the urging ring; a positioning member fixedly connected to the smooth outside of the extension tube and having an inner threaded periphery, the positioning member engaged with the central hole of the positioning plate; a connector connected to the positioning member, and a filtering seal device connected to the cup and including a basket, a rubber seal and a rod which extends through the basket and connected to the rubber seal.
4 . The assembly as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the positioning member includes protrusions extending outward from an top thereof and the central hole of the positioning plate includes recesses defined in an inner periphery thereof, the protrusions are moved through the recesses and are rotated an angle to connect the positioning member to the positioning plate.Cited by (0)
