Direct drive hose reel assembly

Abstract

A hose reel assembly includes a unitary support member and a hose reel spool, which as a riser connected therethrough for providing a fluid path. The unitary support member includes an axle, bearing and hub assembly, with an integrated frame that encompasses a bearing assembly and a drive unit housing.

       11 . A hose reel assembly, comprising: 
 a unitary support member having an axle, a bearing assembly and a hub assembly;    a hose reel spool having a riser connected therethrough for providing a fluid path in combination with said unitary support member; and, an integrated frame housing said unitary support member and said hose reel spool.    
   
   
       12 . The hose reel assembly according to  claim 11 , wherein said integrated frame includes a gearbox assembly.  
   
   
       13 . The hose reel assembly according to  claim 12 , wherein said gearbox assembly includes said hub assembly.  
   
   
       14 . The hose reel assembly according to  claim 11 , wherein said hub assembly includes a ring gear for engaging gears of a drive train.  
   
   
       15 . The hose reel assembly according to  claim 11 , wherein said hose reel spool includes a rewind speed controller and a torque multiplier housing a gear reduction.  
   
   
       16 . The hose reel assembly according to  claim 11 , wherein said hose reel spool comprises two opposing components abutting one another.  
   
   
       17 . The hose reel assembly according to  claim 16 , wherein said hose reel spool has an interior surface about which a hose is able to be wound, said interior surface of said hose reel spool tapering towards a central area of hose reel spool for facilitating both hose winding and a stacking of spool components.  
   
   
       18 . The hose reel assembly according to  claim 11 , wherein said fluid path of said riser includes components that are attachable and detachable from said hose reel spool without first removing said hose reel spool from said hub assembly.  
   
   
       19 . The hose reel assembly according to  claim 11 , wherein said riser is positioned at an opposing side of said hose reel spool from said hub assembly and said integrated frame housing.
