Abstract

A spa apparatus includes an internal support structure having a front end and a rear end; a basin coupled to the internal support structure proximate the front end, with the basin including a fluid circulation device; a seat removably coupled to the internal support structure, intermediate the basin and the rear end of the internal support structure; a shroud including at least a first and second panel removably coupled and supported by the internal support structure and configured to enclose a portion of the internal support structure; and an armrest coupled to the internal support structure on each side of the seat. Each armrest is configured to move from a first position to a second position independent of the position of the seat.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A spa apparatus comprising:
an internal support structure having a front end and a rear end; a basin coupled to the internal support structure proximate the front end, with the basin including a fluid circulation device; a seat removably coupled to the internal support structure, intermediate the basin and the rear end of the internal support structure; a shroud including at least a first and second panel removably coupled and supported by the internal support structure and configured to enclose a portion of the internal support structure; and an armrest coupled to the internal support structure on each side of the seat, with each armrest configured to move from a first position to a second position independent of the position of the seat.

2 . The spa apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the movement of the armrest is one of forward and backward relative to the internal support structure.

3 . The spa apparatus of claim 1 , including a compartment defined in the armrest.

4 . The spa apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the compartment includes one of a fluid container holder, a fluid pan, and a work area.

5 . The spa apparatus of claim 3 , including an insert disposed in the compartment.

6 . The spa apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the shroud includes a third panel coupled to the first and second panels.

7 . The spa apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first and second panels each define an arched channel proximate a lower edge of each panel.

8 . The spa apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the internal support structure comprises a first arched member and a second arched member, with the arched members maintained in a spaced apart relationship by a plurality of cross-members, each arched member defining two legs, with each leg including an adjustable foot pad.

9 . The spa apparatus of claim 8 , wherein each arched member is composed of a material selected from a group consisting of metal, plastic, and a combination of metal and plastic.

10 . The spa of claim 1 , wherein the internal support structure is composed of metal.

11 . The spa of claim 10 , wherein the basin is composed of a material other than metal.

12 . The spa of claim 1 , wherein the basin is removable from the internal support structure.

13 . An armrest structure for a spa, with the spa including a fluid retaining basin and a seat coupled to a support structure, the armrest structure comprising:
a base member defining a compartment; a cover coupled to the base member; and a support member pivotally coupled at one end to the support structure on one side of the seat and pivotally coupled at another end to the base member, wherein the base member and cover are maintained in a horizontal aspect relative to the support structure as the support member is moved about the pivots from a first position to a second position.

14 . The armrest of claim 13 , wherein the movement of the armrest is one of forward and backward relative to the support structure

15 . The armrest of claim 13 , including a second support member pivotally coupled to the base member and the support structure in a spaced apart and parallel relationship to the other support member.

16 . The armrest of claim 13 , including an insert disposed in the compartment.

17 . The armrest of claim 16 , wherein the insert is defines one of a fluid container holder, a fluid pan, and a work area.

18 . The armrest of claim 13 , wherein the cover defines an elongated groove.

19 . The armrest of claim 13 , wherein the cover is coupled to the base member with a hinge configured to permit the cover to rotate to a position in a plane parallel to a top edge of the base member.

20 . The armrest of claim 13 , including another armrest structure coupled to the support structure on another side of the seat.

       21 . A spa apparatus comprising:
an internal support structure having a front end and a rear end; a basin coupled to the internal support structure proximate the front end, with the basin including a fluid circulation device; a seat removably coupled to the internal support structure, intermediate the basin and the rear end of the internal support structure; a shroud including at least a first and second panel removably coupled and supported by the internal support structure and configured to enclose a portion of the internal support structure; and an armrest structure comprising: a base member defining a compartment; a cover coupled to the base member; and a support member pivotally coupled at one end to the support structure on one side of the seat and pivotally coupled at another end to the base member, wherein the base member and cover are maintained in a horizontal aspect relative to the support structure as the support member is moved about the pivots from a first position to a second position.

22 . The armrest of claim 21 , wherein the movement of the armrest is one of forward and backward relative to the support structure.

23 . The armrest of claim 21 , including a second support member pivotally coupled to the base member and the support structure in a spaced apart and parallel relationship to the other support member.
