Abstract

The present invention relates to a vehicle seat ( 1 ) comprising a seat element ( 2 ) having at least one central region ( 2 a ) and at least one edge region ( 2 b, 2 c ). The central region possesses an outer air-impermeable and water-vapor-permeable seat cover ( 30 ) and a cushion element ( 7 ) under the seat cover ( 30 ). An air-guiding spacer ( 6 ) is disposed between the seat cover ( 30 ) and the cushion element ( 7 ) to guide a first air stream ( 50 ) through the spacer ( 6 ) in a direction parallel to the seat cover ( 30 ). The at least one edge region ( 2 b, 2 c ) comprises an air-permeable edge region seat cover ( 40 ), enabling a second air stream ( 60 ) to flow outwardly through the seat cover ( 40 ). In the at least one central region ( 2 a ), a large portion of the moisture accumulated there passes into the spacer ( 6 ) and is transported away by the first air stream ( 50 ).

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified

       2 . The vehicle seat ( 1 ) according to claim 1 wherein the seat cover ( 30 ) of the central region comprises an outer water-vapor-permeable seat cover layer ( 40 ) and an air-impermeable water-vapor-permeable layer ( 5 ) disposed between the spacer ( 6 ) and the seat cover layer ( 4 ).

       3 . The vehicle seat ( 1 ) according to claim 2 wherein the air-impermeable water-vapor-permeable layer ( 5 ) is a textile.

       4 . The vehicle seat ( 1 ) according to claim 2 wherein the air-impermeable water-vapor-permeable layer ( 5 ) is a membrane.

5 . The vehicle seat ( 1 ) according to claim 4 wherein the membrane is a microporous or monolithic membrane.

6 . The vehicle seat ( 1 ) according to claim 2 wherein the water-vapor-permeable air-impermeable layer ( 5 ) is provided as a film on the inner surface of the seat cover layer ( 4 ) of the central region or on that side of the spacer ( 6 ) which faces the seat cover layer ( 4 ) of the central region.

       7 . The vehicle seat ( 1 ) according to claim 1 wherein the outer water-vapor-permeable seat cover layer ( 4 ) is a textile or leather.

8 . The vehicle seat ( 1 ) according to claim 1 wherein the vehicle seat ( 1 ) comprises at least one blowing means ( 9 ) for generation and individual adjustment of the second air stream ( 60 ) flowing outwardly through the seat cover ( 40 ) of the at least one edge region.

9 . The vehicle seat ( 1 ) according to claim 1 wherein the vehicle seat ( 1 ) comprises at least one blowing means ( 8 ) for generation of the first air stream ( 50 ) guided in a direction parallel to the seat cover ( 4 ) of the central region.

10 . The vehicle seat ( 1 ) according to claim 8 wherein the vehicle seat ( 1 ) comprises at least one blowing means ( 8 ) for generation of the first air stream ( 50 ) guided in a direction parallel to the seat cover ( 4 ) of the central region, wherein the vehicle seat ( 1 ) comprises a conjoint blowing means for generation of the first and second air streams.

11 . The vehicle seat ( 1 ) according to claim 10 wherein there is provided a valve ( 24 ) for individual adjustment of the second air stream ( 60 ) flowing outwardly through the seat cover ( 40 ) of the edge region.

12 . The vehicle seat ( 1 ) according to claim 1 wherein the spacer ( 6 ) is constructed and disposed such that, in the spacer ( 6 ), a predominant portion of the first air stream ( 50 ) is guided directly past the seat cover ( 4 ) of the central region or along the air-impermeable water-vapor-permeable layer ( 5 ) disposed between the spacer ( 6 ) and the seat cover ( 4 ) of the central region.

13 . The vehicle seat ( 1 ) according to claim 1 wherein the spacer ( 6 ) is constructed such that the first air stream ( 50 ) has a velocity between 10 and 100 cm/s, in a direction parallel to the seat cover ( 4 ) of the central region given a pressure drop between 10 and 50 Pa over 40 cm.

       14 . The vehicle seat ( 1 ) according to claim 1 wherein the thickness of the spacer ( 6 ) is between 2 and 20 mm.
