Abstract

A tooth whitening substance formed into a thin layer is provided. The tooth whitening substance includes a polyox resin and a tooth whitening active. The polyox resin adheres the thin layer to a plurality of teeth for a sufficient time to allow the tooth whitening active to act upon the plurality of teeth.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An oral care delivery system comprising:
 (a) a strip of material; (b) an oral care composition; wherein said oral care composition comprises a tooth bleaching agent and fluoride; (c) wherein said delivery system is applied to the surfaces of a plurality of teeth and wherein the overall thickness of said oral care delivery system is less than about 1 mm.

2 . The oral care delivery system of claim 1 , wherein said oral composition is a stripe on said strip of material.

3 . The oral care delivery system of claim 1 , wherein said oral care composition further comprises water.

4 . The oral care delivery system of claim 1 , wherein said tooth whitening composition is a peroxide.

5 . The oral care delivery system of claim 1 , wherein said oral care composition further comprises carboxypolymethylene.

6 . The oral care delivery system of claim 1 , wherein said oral care composition further comprises glycerin.

7 . The oral care delivery system of claim 1 , wherein said strip of material is flexible.

8 . The oral care delivery system of claim 1 , wherein said strip of material is polyethylene.

9 . The oral care delivery system of claim 1 , wherein said strip of material is sized to cover a front surface of a plurality of teeth.

10 . An oral care delivery system comprising:
 (a) a flexible strip of material; (b) an oral care composition; wherein said oral care composition comprises hydrogen peroxide, and phosphate; (c) wherein said delivery system is applied to the front, incisal edge and lingual surfaces of a plurality of teeth. (d) wherein the overall thickness of said oral care delivery system is less than about 1 mm.

11 . The oral care delivery system of claim 10 , wherein the oral care composition has a viscosity between about 200 and about 1,000,000 cps.

12 . The oral care delivery system of claim 10 , wherein said flexible strip of material is a flexible polymeric film.

13 . The oral care delivery system of claim 11 , wherein said flexible polymeric film is sized to cover to cover between 7 teeth and an entire row of teeth.

14 . The oral care delivery system of claim 10 , wherein said oral care composition further comprises carboxypolymethylene.

15 . A method of treating a plurality of teeth, the teeth having facial, lingual, and incisal surfaces, comprising:
 a) adhesively attaching an oral care product comprising a flexible polymeric film and an oral care composition to the facial, incisal edge and lingual surfaces of a plurality of teeth, wherein the oral care composition is pre-applied to the polymeric film and comprises a peroxide, carboxypolymethylene, and fluoride and wherein the oral care composition is applied as a stripe to the polymeric film; b) conforming the flexible polymeric film to the surfaces of the plurality of teeth; c) peeling the flexible polymeric film from the plurality of teeth; d) repeating steps (a) through (d), wherein each repetition utilizes a new tooth bleaching product; wherein the tooth bleaching product has a thickness of less than 1 mm.

16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the polymeric film has a texture.

17 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the oral care product is transparent.

18 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the oral care product has a flexural stiffness of less than about 3 grams/cm.
