Abstract
The present invention relates to preparations based on vegetal extracts of Ajuga reptans for favouring the growth of hair and stimulating the hair bulb. The preparations of the invention are in suitable formulations for oral administration or local application and are specifically suitable for the prevention and treatment of androgenic alopecia in males and females.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . Use of a vegetal extract from a plant of Ajuga reptans for the production of a composition for preventing or treating hair loss.
. Use according to claim 1 , for the prevention or treatment of androgenetic alopecia and telogenic defluvium.
. Use according to claim 1 wherein said extract of Ajuga reptans comprises at least one active principle selected from iridoids, antocyanes, flavonoids, ecdysones, phenylpropanoids, derivates of clerodane and mixtures thereof.
. Use of a phenylpropanoid glucoside for the production of a composition for preventing or treating hair loss.
. Use according to claim 4 , wherein said phenylpropanoid glucoside is obtained from a plant of Ajuga reptans.
. Use according to claim 4 , wherein said phenylpropanoid glucoside comprises at least one sugar selected from glucopyranose, ramnose, glucose, xylose, apiose, galactose, xylose, ramnose.
. Use according to claim 4 wherein said phenylpropanoid glucoside comprises an aromatic structure selected from ferulic acid, cinnamic acid, caffeic acid, methylcumaric acid, or a derivative of phenylethanol.
. Use according to claim 4 , wherein said phenylpropanoid is selected from Phenylpropanoid A, phenylpropanoid B and mixtures thereof, having the formula:
. Use according to claim 8 , wherein said phenylpropanoid is Phenylpropanoid A.
. A method for the extraction of vegetal active principles from a plant of Ajuga reptans comprising the vegetal culture of cellular lines coming from a tissue explant of said plant.
. The method according to claim 10 , wherein said tissue is callous tissue of Ajuga reptans.
. The method according to claim 10 comprising the transfer of cellular lines of Ajuga reptans onto a liquid medium in a bioreactor.
. The method according to claim 12 , wherein after cultivation in a bioreactor, the cells are subjected to homogenization and filtration to obtain a raw extract.
. The method according to claim 10 comprising the crushing and filtration of the vegetal cells cultivated and extraction for phenylpropanoids of the filtrate on a resin by affinity.
. The method according to claim 14 , comprising the elution of the filtrate with a hydroalcoholic solution.
. A homogenate of whole cells of Ajuga reptans obtained by a method according to claim 10 .
. A purified extract of Ajuga reptans obtained by a method according to claim 10 comprising a mixture of phenylpropanoids with a titer equal to or higher than 50% by weight of glucoside.
. Phenylpropanoids extracted from a plant of Ajuga reptans according to the method of claim 10 .
. The phenylpropanoids according to claim 17 , characterized in that they comprise Phenylpropanoid A with a titer equal to or higher than 90%.
. Use of a homogenate of Ajuga reptans according to claim 16 for the production of a composition with an inhibiting action of 5α-reductase.
. Use of a vegetal extract of Ajuga reptans according to claim 17 for the production of a composition with an inhibiting action of 5α-reductase.
. Use of phenylpropanoids from Ajuga reptans according to claim 18 for the production of a composition with an inhibiting action of 5α-reductase.
. Use according to claim 20 wherein said composition is for the treatment of hair loss or acne.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
