Abstract
A device for applying a product on a fingernail includes an applicator end-piece able to be loaded with product and to apply the product on the fingernail. The end-piece includes a notch formed between two facing application surfaces intended for the application of the product on two faces of the fingernail.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A device for applying a product on a fingernail, comprising:
an applicator end-piece configured to retain the product on a surface thereof and to apply the product on the fingernail, wherein the end-piece includes a notch formed between a first and second application surface, the first and second application surfaces are configured to face each other and apply the product to a first face and a second face of the fingernail.
2 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of the application surfaces has a non-planar shape.
3 . The device according to claim 2 , wherein one of the application surfaces has a concave shape and is configured to apply the product on a top of the fingernail, the concavity of the surface faces the notch.
4 . The device according to claim 3 , wherein another of the application surfaces is convex, with its convexity facing the notch.
5 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein two tongues that extend on either side of the notch form the first and second application surfaces.
6 . The device according to claim 5 , wherein the length of each tongue is between about 3 and 10 mm.
7 . The device according to claim 5 , wherein the tongue configured to apply the product on a top of the fingernail has a greater length than the other tongue.
8 . The device according to claim 7 , wherein the difference in length between the two tongues is less than about 7 mm.
9 . The device according to claim 5 , wherein the distance between each of an end portion of each tongue distant from the notch, is between about 1 and 6 mm.
10 . The device according to claim 5 , wherein the tongues form an angle between them of less than 180°.
11 . The device according to claim 7 , wherein the length of the tongue used to apply the product to the top of the fingernail corresponds substantially to a length of the fingernail.
12 . The device according to claim 5 , wherein a width of the tongues corresponds substantially to a width of an edge of the fingernail.
13 . The device according to claim 5 , wherein an edge of the tongue that is configured to apply the product on an outside face of the fingernail has a concave shape complementary to that of an edge of the fingernail.
14 . The device according to claim 5 , wherein an edge of the tongue that is configured to apply the product on the outside face of the fingernail has a convex shape complementary to that of the base of the fingernail.
15 . The device according to claim 5 , wherein an edge of the tongue configured to apply the product on an inside face of the fingernail has a concave shape.
16 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein the applicator end piece includes two substantially parallel longitudinal sides.
17 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein the applicator end piece includes two non-parallel longitudinal sides.
18 . The device according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a rod having a first end; and a grasping member, wherein the first end of the rod is integral with the grasping member and an opposite second end of the rod is fitted with the applicator end-piece.
19 . The device according to claim 18 , further comprising:
a storing receptacle configured to store the product and connectable with the applicator end-piece, wherein the grasping member is a closing cap to secure the product in the storing receptacle.
20 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein at least part of the applicator end-piece is formed of an elastically deformable material.
21 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein an application surface intended for the application of the product on a bottom of the fingernail is formed from a material more rigid than that of an application surface intended for the application of the product on the top of the fingernail.
22 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein at least a part of the end-piece is formed of elastomer.
23 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein at least part of the end-piece is formed from silicone.
24 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of the application surfaces is abrasive.
25 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein the notch forms a stop against which the end edge of the fingernail will contact.
26 . The device according to claim 25 , wherein the notch is concave.
27 . The device according to claim 5 , wherein the tongues form an angle between them of less than 50°.
28 . An assembly for storing a product and for application of the said product on a fingernail, comprising:
a reservoir configured to store the product; and a device including an end-piece for applying the product, wherein the end-piece includes two application surfaces with a notch formed there between, and wherein the two application surfaces are configured to apply product to two different surfaces of the fingernail.
29 . The assembly according to claim 28 , wherein a first application surface has a concave shape and is configured to apply the product on a top of the fingernail, and a second of the application surfaces is convex and configured to apply the product to a bottom surface of the fingernail.
30 . The assembly according to claim 29 , wherein the first application surface has a greater length than the second application surface.
31 . The assembly according to claim 30 , wherein the length of each application surface is between about 3 and 10 mm.
32 . The assembly according to claim 28 , wherein the first and second application surfaces form an angle between them of less than 50°.
33 . The assembly according to claim 28 , further comprising:
a rod having a first end and a second end; and a grasping member, wherein the first end of the rod is integral with the grasping member and the applicator end-piece is secured to the second end of the rod.
34 . The assembly according to claim 33 , wherein the grasping member is a closing cap connectable to the reservoir and configured to secure the product in the reservoir.
35 . The assembly according to claim 29 , wherein the second an application surface is formed from a material more rigid than material of the first application surface.
36 . The assembly according to claim 29 , wherein at least one of the application surfaces is abrasive.
37 . A method for applying a product on a fingernail using a device having an applicator end-piece able to be loaded with product and able to apply the product on the fingernail, the end-piece including a notch delimiting two facing application surfaces intended for the application of the product on two faces of the fingernail, the method comprising:
loading the two application surfaces with product; and placing the application surfaces in contact with an outside face and with an inside face of the fingernail in order to apply the product on both faces simultaneously.
