Abstract

A waist exerciser is able to bring a user to passively twist the waist to and fro, so as to easily strengthen the user's waist. The waist exerciser includes a carrier for a user to sit thereon. The carrier has a rotating center offset from a centerline of a power output shaft of a driving device, so that the carrier is able to rotate about the power output shaft in a circular motion and accordingly brings the user's hips to move in circular motion and thereby twist the user's waist. The waist exerciser also includes a mechanism for inclining the carrier for the user to feel a different twisting effect on the inclined and rotating carrier, and a mechanism for adjusting the carrier to a height most suitable for a user to sit thereon comfortably.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A waist exerciser, comprising:
a driving device having a power output shaft, and being mounted to a first support; a carrier including a bearing surface, on which a user is seated; and a link being pivotally connected at an end to a rotating center of said carrier, and fixedly connected at an opposite end to said power output shaft of said driving device, such that said rotating center of said carrier is offset from a centerline of said power output shaft.

2 . The waist exerciser as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising an auxiliary supporting mechanism provided on a top of said first support to undertake part of load born by said carrier.

3 . The waist exerciser as claimed in claim 2 , wherein said auxiliary supporting mechanism includes at least one rotary disc pivotally connected at an auxiliary rotating center thereof to a predetermined position on the top of said first support, and said carrier being connected to a point of said rotary disc that is offset from said auxiliary rotating center.

4 . The waist exerciser as claimed in claim 2 , wherein said auxiliary supporting mechanism includes a slide plate, at least one first sliding mechanism, and at least one second sliding mechanism; said first sliding mechanism being located between said slide plate and said first support, and said second sliding mechanism being located between said carrier and said slide plate; and said first and second sliding mechanisms defining two sliding directions that are non-parallel to each other.

5 . The waist exerciser as claimed in claim 4 , wherein said first sliding mechanism includes at least one first slide way provided below said slide plate, and at least one first slide rail correspondingly located on the top of said first support.

6 . The waist exerciser as claimed in claim 4 , wherein said first sliding mechanism includes at least one first slide rail located below said slide plate, and at least one first slide way correspondingly provided on the top of said first support.

7 . The waist exerciser as claimed in claim 4 , wherein said first sliding mechanism includes at least one row of first balls provided below said slide plate, and at least one first slide rail correspondingly located on the top of said first support.

8 . The waist exerciser as claimed in claim 4 , wherein said first sliding mechanism includes at least one first slide rail located below said slide plate, and at least one row of first balls correspondingly provided on the top of said first support.

9 . The waist exerciser as claimed in claim 4 , wherein said second sliding mechanism includes at least one second slide way provided below said carrier, and at least one second slide rail correspondingly located on the top of said slide plate.

10 . The waist exerciser as claimed in claim 4 , wherein said second sliding mechanism includes at least one second slide rail located below said carrier, and at least one second slide way correspondingly provided on the top of said slide plate.

11 . The waist exerciser as claimed in claim 4 , wherein said second sliding mechanism includes at least one row of second balls provided below said carrier, and at least one second slide rail correspondingly located on the top of said slide plate.

12 . The waist exerciser as claimed in claim 4 , wherein said second sliding mechanism includes at least one second slide rail located below said carrier, and at least one row of second balls correspondingly provided on the top of said slide plate.

13 . The waist exerciser as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said driving device is adjustable in a rotating speed thereof.

14 . The waist exerciser as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said first support includes an inclining base, a first elevating mechanism, and a second support; said driving device being mounted to said inclining base, and said inclining base being pivotally connected at an end to said second support, and said first elevating mechanism being mounted between an opposite end of said inclining base and said second support for adjusting an inclination of said carrier related to a horizontal surface.

15 . The waist exerciser as claimed in claim 14 , wherein said second support includes a second elevating mechanism for adjusting a height of said carrier relative to a floor surface.
